Nismo Exhaust
So I have been on this forum for about a month? Not sure exactly.
One of the most common threads I have read is about the exhaust on the Nismo. "Why isnt it louder?" I just passed 1300 miles. I rolled my windows down and drove as much as i could tonight. No music, just the sound of the engine and exhaust. Honestly, I dont see what the fuss is. I think it sounds awesome! The Nismo is an awesome car! If I change anything, it wont be the exhaust. Maybe just the intake... (I know the exhaust will probably change a little) I finally pushed the pedal down as well.. This car is so much fun! It corners like its on rails!! thank you Nissan! |
I found the nismo exhaust to be very quiet. I have not heard anyone fussing about the noise.

Even the stock exhaust sounds good if you get on it from inside the car or of you have your windows down. But if you stand outside the car and hear it drive by its not loud at all. Same with the Nismo exhaust. The car is not heavily insulated is why you hear so much exhaust noise leading you believe it's really loud.

i agree that its sounds good but it can surely sound better.
I'm going to go with HFCs and UpRev Software , that should get some more sound out of the bitch |

I did the whole hfc and uprev, just ended up getting the FI exhaust. The nismo one is just too quiet.

Loud or not is subjective. One say FI exhaust is loud, others think FI exhaust is quiet... Compare to the aftermarket exhaust systems, the stock NISMO exhaust is quiet. But you do hear it and it's more aggressive then a non-Nismo 370z.
I like the stock Nismo tone. But IMHO, the g35/350z stock exhaust sounds far better. I am little bit disapointed on the 370z... Even I switched back the stock exhaust on my G35 coupe from F.I. carbon fiber exhaust, I don't regret. The exhaust note on G35 is just something exotic... |
