So the first couple of pages were productive.........I am not sure where this went wrong. I had my F.I. TDX before I owned my NISMO because I knew that the car was more docile sounding than the previous model Z. Just a word of advice, don't call the people trying to help you retards!

Any sound clips of non-resonated test pipes on a Nismo with stock catback?

Personally I like induction noise on NA cars. You could check out the sound of Z's with just an intake and see if that's enough for you. No drone that way, and you keep the nismo parts.

Go with a Meisterchaft GT exhaust and call it a day.

I can't believe this thread even exists given there is an entire Exhaust section on this forum. If you can't find the answer there, you probably shouldn't have a driver's license either.

+1 on this...... This exhaust is bada**. I'm waiting for my Meisterschaft GT exhaust (three sections). You do not have to go with all 3 sections of the Meisterschaft GT exhaust, but just go with the 3rd section. With all 3 sections it will be very loud.....like a whore in a bedroom....lol

spearfish25, I completely agree with you.

The Nismo is pretty effen sweet. IMO I would wait after 5k miles until installing CAI.

OP, you may also be interested in just doing a CAI like the Stillen G3. An intake will add some volume but you will keep your stock exhaust.

I'm keeping my nismo stock.
I like it quiet. It's very smooth sounding with a nice purring tone that is better sounding than many loud raspy fart cannons out there.

I went thru several exhaust setups when I had my Nismo including, Non-resonated TPs w/ stock exhaust, HFC w/ stock exhaust, HFC w/ stock exhaust w/ resonators removed, HFC w/ FI 18" CF exhaust, Res. TPs w/ FI 18" CF exhaust, and lastly FI LTH w/ FI 18" CF exhaust. I can say that each setup had a different sound. From the sounds of what you are wanting I would recommend starting by removing the 2 resonators as this will keep the same Nismo exhaust tone but just with added volume which is what you are saying you want. If you still want more I would then add HFC and this will also keep the same Nismo exhaust tone but add more volume with zero rasp. Atleast I had zero rasp with this setup even though some people claim they have rasp with HFC and stock nismo exhaust. This may be due to the fact that I had FI HFC which are 300 cell and most other HFC out there are 200 cell. Just my 2 cents. Remove resonators, it's cheap and quick, if you still want a little more volume add HFC.

What's way too loud? Removing resonators and adding HFC on this car will not get you pulled over for it's still somewhat tamed. If you are referring to my video in my signature well then yes possibly that could get you in trouble but this isn't the setup I'm suggesting. In the video I have FI LTH and FI exhaust. Resonators removed and HFC will be much quieter than this.
