Actually the members on this forum that have given you very sound advice from the question you posted are far from that. The answers you are looking for have already been answered. What you need to do now is learn a bit about the Z's exhaust system, read over the great advice given here and thank someone that you feel gave you the the tip for helping you get the exhaust sound you are wanting. HFC's, test pipes and shorty tail pipes have all been suggested. It's time for you to say thank you and make up your mind. Thank YOU!

Just take the muffler off.. Sounds perfect. If you like it,you can run straight pipes from where you took the muffler off, out the back, or leave it like it is.. Sounds great, better gas mileage, drop about 50lbs all for free..

I guess our view on stock is different . If I take out the resonator or changes the cats I still consider it stock . But if I change the whole system then is no longer stock

Stock is just that. All stock parts with no replacements or deletions other than replacing worn items and that would be with like item and same sizes. Change a light bulb to HID or wider tire size is still a modded car. Change the sound of your Nismo, IMO that too would be modded. This really comes into play in competitive racing and show cars alot. They have certain criteria about how many and what type (if any) minor mods will take you out of a stock class.
