Sounds like the slave cylinder. This problem is not unheard of on the 370z, have read a few threads on it. Was a fairly common issue with the 350z.
|
my CSC broke at 19k "babied" miles. have you been rough on the car? if not how many miles were on the car before you bought it? i can see some abusive test drives causing the CSC to give.
|
WeLl the car had new low miles less than 7 and I have babies it no red lines yet so I don't know I got a call from Nissan they want to send a team of japanese engineers to check out the issue and they are offering me a free warrant that is worth $1200 should I be ok with just that?

No problems on mine, just reached 20k. Was a problem on the 350/300 we had.

So the free warrant is for 72months or 100,000 mile which ever comes first, the I got the to pay a months car payment, and they are paying for the rental and tow truck fees and from what the service manager said is that those engineers will bring new updated performance part to test car. Still not 100% on what they are going to change.
|
Sounds like their doing the right thing. Keep us posted. I wonder what performance part they are testing. Now if this hyped up "performance" part is the solution. Im sure other 370 buyers would be interested.

I recently had the slave cylinder replaced on my 2009 Nismo....the dealership said there had been several 370Z's with the same issue. They ended up replacing the master cylinder as well. Luckily all was covered under the original warranty!

at last.... my nismo is home! i cant tell you how much i missed that z, so they replace everything that has to do with the clutch, flywheel and all they even changed the clutch pedal. they gave me a print out to show what it was all worth over 5000. they said they did this because nissan wanted to take the other parts to japan to have them researched and studied. so i hope my issue is totally resolved and nothing will come up. oh and by the way they told me what caused the issue seemed to have been air in the clutch lines.

Hi guys,
I had the same issue with my 2010 370z Nismo. I only had 4k miles on it. It ended up being the Clutch Slave cyclinder. Dealer replaced it and took care of the whole bill. |
