Hey all. I just wanted to make a thread to say hi and introduce myself. I've been lurking these forums for a bit now checking out everything since I recently bought a 2009 Nismo. It's my first sports car ever, even my first car ever that is manual, so it's been an experience. I come from driving a Jeep Wrangler and SUVs.
I wanted a nice sports car for a while and didn't want to go with a mustang since everyone and their mother has one around here (even my ex gf...she ruined Mustangs for me ). I was originally going to buy a Camaro SS until I went to a Nissan dealer with a friend who was buying an Altima. I saw a 370z there and asked to drive it. Once I drove one I knew I had to look into these more. I went and test drove a Camaro I liked but just didn't enjoy it as much as I did a 370z. Well I went online and found a Nismo for sale at a dealer that was only an hour away from me with just 13k miles. After I saw it I was sold. I'm hooked now. I never drove a manual shift car but I figured if I can fly a plane, I'm pretty sure I can learn how to drive stick. I'm still not as smooth as I want to be but I'm pretty confident I will get there soon. I'm glad I could find these forums and share what we all have in common. I think this car is breaking me into a whole new hobby |

Congrats on the sweet ride! Shifting takes practice. If you can manage to get it moving the rest is easy. With time it will become smooth.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the warm welcome
To answer a few questions: yea the synchro-rev is awesome. I let two of my friends drive the car for a little bit and the synchro-rev really freaked them out until I told them what it was. It gave me a good laugh. They loved it though and now all my buddies are itching to get a sports car. Also the color I got is silver. I really love the white that they have and wish it was white but the closest nismo for sale was in like South Carolina or something so I wasn't about to be picky. Silver is a decent color as well, classy, so I didn't mind it. I'm just happy to have the actual car. |
