Amuse 370z Nismo?
Wondering if anyone has put on the Amuse bodykit on their nismo 370z?
|
I dont think you will be able to tell its a nismo if you add the full body kit including the wing.
|
True, but I think the amuse body kit looks better so it would be better to just get the normal 370 and put it on but the nismo engine is better than the normal Z so i dunnoo
|
nismo engine is the same as the base (correct me if im wrong) just has the nismo exhaust.
|
The Nismo engine is not better, it has a tune and better cat back for only a 18HP increase. An aftermarket Cat back will net that on a normal Z.
|
oh... well the nismo and base 370 with the sport package is only a 2000 difference where im from so might as well just go nismo even if ur gonna switch the whole body to amuse

i thought about it before. but i figured out it would be stupid to buy a nismo then put an amuse bodykit on it.

I have Amuse GT1 kit on my S2k, it works like magic. I could floor the car in every corners at Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow. |
hmm well according to the prices on 370z tune, if ur gonna get the amuse kit its gonna cost u atleast 7K, u can do quite a bit of engine mods with 7K...... a 370 with 7k worth of engine mods is gonna be faster than a 370 with a 7K bodykit looll
|
Nismo 370z looks amazing still nonetheless

oh god, here we go again.... |
Amuse did do a Amuse 380RS Super Leggera Special Edition a while back... I would be interested to hear if they plan on doing something similar with the NISMO 370Z.

With all your knowledge and experience you should be working for nascar or a F1 team helping develope their body designs for down force. I cant believe you actually think a body kit made that big of a difference on your s2k (which is a convertable small a$$ car made for women). You come across as someone in a honda civic with a big homemade aluminum wing twice the size of your car.:icon14: |

Lol, you guys are funny. Anyways, I don't really care to explain since you guys seem to know more than anyone else! Good for you.
|
if the amuse kit can get 150lbs downforce, i will cut my **** off
|
If you swap your bodykit I would buy the nismo rear bumper from you.

Ok maybe we need to take a step back.. |

on a side note. I drove both models back to back b4 i bought. the nismo just felt like alot more car. Im sure it had little to do w our aero package and exhaust. Im sorta convinced its gotta have something to with a slight tweak of the vvel..what do you guys think or know? I need an refresh on things. |

This is the Amuse body kit:
http://www.fortyone.co.nz/part_image...000gt_side.jpg You add a big wing when the car had none, front and rear diffusers, and canards. Since it's a widebody kit, you also can run a lot more rubber under the fenders. Overall it makes a big difference on the S2000. The factory S2000 produces lift at any speed, and the CR doesn't do near what the NISMO package did for aero. So for the S2000, yes, the Amuse kit would make a big difference. |
WOW... there is some misinformation in this thread.
1. The Amuse body kit IS wind tunnel tested; Amuse does that will ALL their body kits. It is at the very least as good as the Nismo aero. Aside from all the different day/different driving arguments, judging from how it lapped Tsukba at 1:04 and change as compared to the Nismo 1:06, I'd say their did their homework well. 2. The Nismo engine is NOT drastically different from the base 370Z's. The ONLY things different is the catback (H pipe vs Y pipe for the standard Zs), and the tune on the Nismo. Also bear in mind that some of that extra grunt comes from the Nismo's power being taken at a higher RPM over the standard Zs. It has been shown time and again, a base+sport tuned Z34 can hang with if not best the Nismo (the majority of the time it is besting the Nismo). If the OP is conflicted on the matter, do some more checking on the Amuse Z; it is badder than the Nismo by far from a performance perspective. You will have to pay the cost of the Nismo, then tune on top of that to match its performance. In the end, you will come out close in how much you have spent. I will say that I like the Nismos look better than the Amuse Z34 however....... (flame suit on). |
i think its awesome you guys can feel the difference between 146 lbs of down force vs. 150lbs. with your @sses...... :P
