i like this thread dont know how i missed it lol. I love both cars (mustang gt/nismo) and both are great cars but i would like to shead my experience with both...Well I have a buddy here and he owns a 2010 Roush Gt 427R and I own a 2009 Nismo. I have driven his car, he mine, raced dig, interstate, back roads, we ride together all the time! Now keep in mine his car is stock, mine is fully bolted on...now off the line i say his car has the kick it moves out on me and is a car ahead by 70-80, but that is mainly because i cant get mine to stick off the line(ever!!!) and now on the i-state at around a 3rd gear pull like around 60-65 by 6th at 160 i am right on his passenger door! oh and through the twistys....well i ride his *** and i am having to break constantly....thats if i start behind his ***. I love his car and it will throw your *** back! that torque is m-azing. now i dont know about a regular GT but i would say a stock nismo and stock GT would be pretty close (not drag but imo nismo isnt meant for diggin) I know for a fact a stock nismo will beat a v6 no problem...dont know who told u the v6 would keep up but they lied to your face. My buddy says i "LOVE Driving" your car! He tells me its totally different u can really push that thing. He more or less saying the GT sort of just does its thing. Kind of like comparing the GT is racing Nascar and Nismo is racing Indy cars. You can drive a GT but not push it like u can a nismo.
I dont know what u should get but if u can hey get both they are totally different cars but which ever one u pick i dont think u will be disappointed |

I agree that people sleep on the Z and are really only looking at the numbers and not how the car performs when driven as it should be. The dudes doing the testing are in no way one with the machines that they are testing. You have to be one with your machine and not that many folks are willing to go there.........

People sleep on every car. Just ask the e92 M3 from this morning.

I love how folks get caught up in the performance of their vehicle on paper and forget to add in the drivers' prowess. I have seen Mustangs that should "overpower" the competition get beat and others that should be dominated, posterize the competition. It's all relative I guess. The one thing that I do know is that the new 5.0s and Boss 302s are something to reckon with. Hopefully, my friend that is picking up a 2012 GT doesn't get fully bolted and boosted before I become one with my TT and other upgrades (once I return from HELL), lol.

lol i think this thread is funny because i traded my v6 mustang for my nismo and i am so glad that i did. seeing as i can take corners like nothing and my mustang was in fact a pos when it came to that. before, in socal in my mustang i felt like i was going to roll on sharp turns going 25 mph, in my nismo i can go twice as much and its made to drift. also including the name, the exclusivity of the vehicle and what i can do to it. yeah yeah getting a ford, then you buy cheap aftermarket parts...wow what a big deal compared to the name the power and the recognition you get from getting a nismo...im glad i made my trade and will never go back to mustang.

NISMO was not made to drift. It was made to go around race tracks quickly.
Anyways, what year was your Mustang?

This thread is retarded...
OP you should've known what you would've started with this on a Z forum. V6 stangs are nice but would get ripped by a Z. V8 stangs are nice and would rip a Z. Move on with life.

ok let me get this straight...a 2011 v6 mustang at 305 hp @ 6500 rpm and 280lb torque and your about 220lbs heavier than a nismo. so lets see 45hp less from the engine, wow you have 4 more lbs of torque...congraduf'nlations you get better gas mileage. oh and did you know that when they first started the v6 mustang it was marketed as the secretaries car. lol you make me laugh with your petty bull crap that you want to start on a nismo forum. lol

{off-topic}
I want an up-to-date in-with-the-times high-tech inline 6. Then we could run single MAFS/MAPS and boost it more easily. Can I have an iron block again? I wish..... {/off-topic} So my friend has placed his order for the 2012 GT. Hopefully, he won't get it until the end of the year AND Zerolift gets my stuff done by the time I go on mid-tour. That will give me 15 days of ear to ear grins.....
