lol i think this thread is funny because i traded my v6 mustang for my nismo and i am so glad that i did. seeing as i can take corners like nothing and my mustang was in fact a pos when it came to that. before, in socal in my mustang i felt like i was going to roll on sharp turns going 25 mph, in my nismo i can go twice as much and its made to drift. also including the name, the exclusivity of the vehicle and what i can do to it. yeah yeah getting a ford, then you buy cheap aftermarket parts...wow what a big deal compared to the name the power and the recognition you get from getting a nismo...im glad i made my trade and will never go back to mustang.
|
NISMO was not made to drift. It was made to go around race tracks quickly.
Anyways, what year was your Mustang? |
370z Auto did a 4.7 60
I have the review as a favorite.

This thread is retarded...
OP you should've known what you would've started with this on a Z forum. V6 stangs are nice but would get ripped by a Z. V8 stangs are nice and would rip a Z. Move on with life. |
ok let me get this straight...a 2011 v6 mustang at 305 hp @ 6500 rpm and 280lb torque and your about 220lbs heavier than a nismo. so lets see 45hp less from the engine, wow you have 4 more lbs of torque...congraduf'nlations you get better gas mileage. oh and did you know that when they first started the v6 mustang it was marketed as the secretaries car. lol you make me laugh with your petty bull crap that you want to start on a nismo forum. lol

somebody's a little angry eh? (not that I don't agree with him though :)) |
I hate mustangs. And over head cams in American muscle cars.

{off-topic}
I want an up-to-date in-with-the-times high-tech inline 6. Then we could run single MAFS/MAPS and boost it more easily. Can I have an iron block again? I wish..... {/off-topic} So my friend has placed his order for the 2012 GT. Hopefully, he won't get it until the end of the year AND Zerolift gets my stuff done by the time I go on mid-tour. That will give me 15 days of ear to ear grins..... |

No I think your Subie will do fine. But the point of it is to do a Z vs Mustang race. Edit: Fixed :tiphat: |
What if both drivers stop at Starbucks? Who wins there?
My guess is the one that finishes their venti frap first. Then they can go and order a drink. ;) |

Dan you know you miss it. Shahid, you are Dan's replacement.

But let's be real, I can't be replaced. Shahid lacks my resilience and courage.

And you need resilience to walk back out with a straight face. |
Has anyone checked out the Boss 302 yet? Is it in between the GT and the GT500?

Wow. Hope my friend didn't get one of those then.............

The good folks at Sarasota Ford permitted me to drive a Boss 302 last weekend. It is simply the best "bang-for-the-buck" vehicle presently available. It harkens back to the least appreciated and, IMHO, the best all-around vehicle of the "muscle car" era, the Boss 351. If reports suggesting the next generation Mustang will be smaller and lighter are true, it will make for an amazing ride. |
I am not sure how much a Boss 302 goes for, but if it supposed to be a step up from the GT500, then it will probably reflect in cost. Just doing some crude math, a GT500 costs 50k-ish (as tested, lol). My NISMO cost me 34K and I am putting roughly 16-20k into it. Looks pretty even too me. I think I will be chasing them down and running away when I am done. However, they would do the same if they make upgrades.............
|
The new Boss 302 is ugly as hell. The GT 5.0's look better....

Maybe they needed to save money somehow. They didn't take any bail-out money, so I will give them that much.............
I think I will still walk'em down and run away, lol. If not, I will still smile everytime I get in the NISMO..... |

The money Ford borrowed was prior to 2006 and is normal for any large corporation to borrow from the Fed. From the auto, to oil, etc. borrow from the government because they get super cheap rates and easier than burning their own cash. Do some research than pulling up a random graph made by a blogger pulling data back from 2005 & prior and trying to lump it into the failure of what GM & Chrysler did. |

Wow shado I am impressed by the amount of research and effort you put into making that informative graph. I can honestly say that my life is now complete after reading that graph.

The money was just like any other loan the government issues, other than issuing it to a bank then to the corporation they skipped the bank and went straight to the corporation.
Also, Ford paid the loan bank well before they needed to, made more profit and is already with plenty of cash in the bank. Sorry, but your argument is just grasping to slander Ford for no reason. |
