Black or White???
 

So this past MDW I finally worked out a deal with one of my local dealers. I put down the deposit for black nismo and have the dealer locate the car for me. I was told today that theres no black nismos available in my area. I think the closest is around 1000 miles away. The dealer also told me that theres a white one available and they could get it for me instead. I really like white one as well but i think I would rather get black. I really dont know what to do. I always wanted white one at first but when I saw a black on black nismo on the street (I think it was Nismo370's car) I started thinking if the black wouldnt be nicer. Also Ive never saw a white nismo in person but I have a pearl white Mazdaspeed 3 and it looks beautiful in that color. So right now I dont know if I should wait until black one is available around my area or get one now in white. Maybe I could meet one of the members here that has a white nismo. I live in north jersey. It could deff help me to make up my mind. thanks

White is my favorite for the Nismo 370. After seeing it in person, I was sold. Haven't made my purchase yet, but should be in the next few months. Good luck with your purchase my friend!

Start calling other dealers...get what you want so you don't regret it later. Also they can't they put it on a truck and get it to you? Don't they want to sell a car...

Both colors look great, you won't regret either one.

Be honest with yourself, if you compromise and get the white, will you be happy or will you feel a pang of regret everytime a black nismo drives by. If you do/will, then wait and get exactly what you want. If you can live with the white, then just get the white.

Me personally, I would rather wait and get exactly what I want and have no regrets/compromises vs. immediate gratification.

isn't there a thread about a slowdown or temporary halt of production on the Z somewhere here lately. I'm sure you could find a black one somewhere, and if its what you really want, I would hold out for however long it takes, just bank your car payment money and use it for additional down payment when you do find one.

On the other hand, the white looks really sharp also. I could live with a white one, and I'm partial to black cars.

They have had a black nismo in the town next to me for months on end now. Its right on I 10 too so an easy flight into Mobile, AL and put put over there. Go with black, its your first choice so it can never be wrong!

Yes there is. It would appear ordering a car right now is not happening. Hopefully it will come back around sooner rather than later.

My input on black vs white is this; get what you really want, that's what I'm doing. If I could handle red or silver I could be driving a car right now. But I'm holding out for white myself. Also, I don't know your habits in regards to car care, but black is a bitch to take care of compared with white. The white can be dirty and not even look it, while black can look dirty 30 seconds after you wipe it off. Black will also show scratches super easy. Hope that helps.

I was kind of in the same dillema when I was purchasing my Z. I've always been a fan of black sports cars because when done up right, they look sick. But I'm also partial to blue as it's a less common color than black. I had never seen the MR Blue we have avaialable in person to completely judge the color. I'd only seen pictures that made me think it was a kind of Robins Egg light blue which just didn't work for me.

I was debating on which one to order from the factory direct then I found out a black one was coming right to me. So I quickly put a hold on it and locked it down. Looking back, I wish I had been more patient and decided that it was okay to wait for a blue one to come in and get what I wanted with all the options I wanted.

Also, and its up to you how you wanna take it, but taking care of the black and keeping it looking 'black' is a chore. :icon17: I enjoy it and thank goodness, cause if not, I'd have a bad day lol It's soooo hard to keep clean haha.

sounds like you havnt really seen a black nismo or a white nismo in person. best bet is wait. Go see them. and then pick the one you actually love based on actually seeing it. Dont wanna regret a 35k+ purchase.

I vote white...but there are alot of them (even though I love this color on the NISMO).

Personally, I see very few Red NISMO's. For sake of having something different, I might choose red over anything else.

Not trying to sound like a smartass but have you ever owned a Black car? Are you ready for the upkeep and maintenance required to keep the car looking good? If not, go white, it still looks great.

I am lazy when it comes to cleaning my car, and have never owned black before. It sucks because my car always looks dirty even tho I wash weekly. In retrospect I probably have gone another colour, although when it is freshly washed it looks amazing, it just doesn't last long.

I saw a black one on the street twice and once at the dealer but the car was sold already. I own white pearl MS3 and its a beautiful color and Im sure nismo looks great in white. At first I wanted a white one just because its easier to maintain but then I saw black on black NISMO370's car on the highway cruising by and thought it looked spectacular. I only tried to avoid the black because it is a bitch to take care of. I work for Lexus dealer and I see black cars all the time and I know how awful they can look if not taken care of properly. I actually called my dealer yesterday and told them that if they cant get black one just go ahead and get white one instead. One hour later I called back and said to forget about the white and just get me black nismo only, nothing else!
It would be awesome to get the car ASAP but Im not in the rush to buy the car whatsoever. I rather wait and get what I really want. I never had a black car but Im in the car business, I love cars, love to mod and take care of them so Im ready to take the challenge and get black nismo :)

Heres what Ive been driving for the past few years. It doesnt look like that anymore because I parted out already. Its a quick and fun car to drive but it is a time for upgrade. Hopefully Ill get one soon. :)

OP I'm a sucker for white cars as that color perfectly shows all the curves on any car IMO. White looks great when washed/waxed and simply pops to the eye. Black looks great and aggressive when tastefully done but requires more work to be kept clean. Once you go white, you never go ... (I'll stop right there :icon17:)

White. Hands down. I have black and I love it. But I know a guy who has a 2011 White Nismo and I can't stop staring. The pearlescent white is so awesome.

White can do many thing , black out the roof etc..

When I had a black g35 coupe, I always envy people has white g35 coupe. People can never realize I had carbon fiber rear diffuser, mirror cover and air ducts from far view or drive by. Black looks badass I really like it. But it hides all the details. While white ones show all the curves of the car. I will vote for the white as myself got a white nismo too. But it's just my 2 cents...

White looks really nice. The day before I picked my Z up I pulled up next to a white nismo and it looked great! Made me think hard about my color choice.

fryzia23, I test drove a 2011 White Nismo this past weekend...was amazing. It's still for sale at Harte Nissan in Hartford, CT if you can't hold out for the black one.

Oh and another thing...
I was so absolutely sure I wanted the white...When I saw it I really did love it, but then the dealer showed me the 2012 in Gun Metallic and I was like: Wow, that's the one for me! So I agree, you may be best to see them both before you rule one color out over the other.
