Torpedo, do you have any plans on dropping your Z. Looks great sir
All of this is purely subjective so consider what you paid for it...
I struggle with with this decision. Should I change suspension parts or not...

Pros
Appearance- yes, it would look good to me and most people in this forum. Never crosses the mind of 99% of the people in the world.
Handling - Maybe a litle better? Not sure on this one. Would depend on the product used.
Softer ride- I has to be better. It sure cant be any worse!

Cons
Scraping the front lip - already doing this a little, lowering would make it worse

If I do go with springs, I am considering these:
Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs for 2010-2011 Nissan 370Z Nismo Edition

Thoughts?

Hubcentric spacers if anything. Springs, I won't do it. However I would look into Swift springs if anything seeing you can get a specific spring rate. One that is equal or better/stiff than stock.

Scraping is all on the driver, and knowning your area. Changing your routes will have to suffer however good or bad. I'm lowering than your'll ever dream of going and I haven't lost my bumper as yet. It's a huge commitment!

I say do it!

I take it this is your first car to mod?????

first thing i said when i saw the car was wow, needs a drop and spacers.

if your on the fence then leave it stock.

lowering will wear out your tires faster without the proper aftermarket camber and toe products.

- Appearance - looks waaay better. i was in front of a white 911 turbo the other day. then i changed lanes to the right. at the light we were right next to each other and i had my windows down. he said he liked how low my car was (i have almost no wheel gap front and back on kw v3's). as for spacers...i just put on 15mm spacers front and back and it looks amaaaazing. almost "hellaflush" status

- Handling - spacers dont affect handling, at least you wont notice it. however lowering should make things much more comfortable while still handling very well

- Scraping - yes i scraped when i was at stock height as well. now im a good 2 inches lower in the front and just scrape slightly more often. i take every curb/entry at an angle (doesnt have to be an extreme angle either) and ive adjusted my driving habits to avoid entrances that i know have steep curbs...etc. small price to pay when it looks soooo good!

I just saw this thread from the Nismo pics section The appearance of the car once lowered is way improved. I used to go nuts over the wheel gap and hated it. As far as handling goes (I can only speak for the swift springs) it is vastly improved and the ride is so much better. Swift springs were the way to go for me as they offered the conservative 1" sexy drop all the while improving handling; they don't cause any issue with the stock struts; personally, I couldn't ask for more.

For the cons, scraping the front lip is possible but truthfully depends where you are driving for the most part, not so much because of the drop. I scraped the lip twice in VA the same day and it was my fault. I was flying through a traffic light and didn't see a huge irrigation drop at the intersection (don't know what they are smoking in VA ) I went through another drop at the appropriate speed and didn't scrape. I have no issues going through bumps but I stay mindful of obstacles and debris on the road. Another cons is that you most likely should get a camber kit if you want to do it right.

I think that your nismo will look fantastic with the drop should you decide to do it; you just have to be mindful of the areas you drive in and try not to take your Z offroad like some funny forum member did (b1ades?? )

I was going to go with the pro kit but my tech said I would only net a .50 to 1.0 inch drop over what our Nismo's have already. I would either go with the Swift springs or a coil over setup. I personally went with the KW coilovers....

Thanks for all of the input. My main concern is geometry of the suspension. Dont want to go far enough that I have to aligin/modify anything. Dang, still sitting on the fence. Will leave it alone for a while and then revisit.

Great deal man. You'll pretty much have to do alignment with any drop you do if you want to do it right. You could risk uneven tire wear if you don't do alignment
