value of Nismo

I tried to look up my Nismo on KKB and when I did all I got for the value was N/A. I don't what to sell it but I was just wondering how much it is worth vs how much I owe on it. I have about 35000 miles on it. I was just wondering since KKB doesn't offer anything, I thought i would ask you guys your opinions on it. Thanks for any feed back on this.:tiphat:

28-34k

I would look up the value of the touring model and add all of the options, ie nav/sport/leather etc and that sould get you in the ballpark. I just did it taking into account your milage and it came back 30750 which does put you in the ballpark for a private party sale. you could probably ask a little more since it is a NISMO but not much. If you wait a few years it may be worth more to a collector as NISMO's are wrecked and so forth.

Try looking up NADA value its what most banks are using now. Or atleast my bank for the last 3 years. its suppose to be a more accurate value then kbb.

kellyefields 05-31-2011 07:35 AM

NADA is not more accurate and the reason banks and car dealerships use it is becasue it reads on average lower price that is why they use it for trade in purposes and financing but when it comes to the dealership selling it they are closer to the KBB price point for the exact opposite reason becasue it has a higher price point.

@ KingBaby: thanks for the input, I was hoping that it would be worth around that much. As I still owe 34k on it :( so that makes me sad.

@ Kellyefields:That is a good idea and I did try that, but I also know that being a Nismo that it would still be a bit different in price but I think what you have there is pretty darn close so thanks for looking that up for me. And something i didnt consider was that it would one day be a collectors car so thanks for that info as well.

@ NismoZ370. I didnt know that the banks used NADA. That is a good bit of info too in case i want to look up other cars in the future for what the banks think they are worth. So thanks for that :)

I use Edmunds.com, appraise your car. It gives you true market value on trad-in, Private Party and dealer retail..

Thanks Dkguc, I looked it up and it says that my car is worth about 31,400. So I am pretty close to what I owe on it. Thanks for all your guys help :)

Looked mine up on KBB yesterday, 16101 and 43160 area codes "2 places Im thinking about living again" and put in 09 370 nismo 8700 miles and it listed 37825 under "used". Maybe they just don't have it for the 2010 and 2011 models yet as most people don't sell there cars 6 seconds after they buy it.
