What are your alignment specs on your lowered Nismo?
Fellows, it is my understanding that the alignment specs for the Nismo trim are different from those of the touring/base trims (See Nismo specs provided by Scott@FontanaNissan below). I am looking to get some information pertaining to your alignment specs once you lowered your Nismo. I am in the process of getting my Nismo aligned after swift springs drop but would like to retain a slight bit of negative camber. Any information pertaining to your experience would be greatly appreciated and would be helpful for others (I hope).
Nismo 370 Alignment Specs: Front Camber -.58 Caster 8.17 Toe 0.03 Rear Camber -1.58 Toe 0.08 |
you cant adjust the front camber so you will increase that with the drop. from the factory its already negetive.
the rear camber can be adjusted and with the swift springs you will get close to maxing out the rear camber ajustability, also toe will start to be hard to dial in. |

Also with your drop, what specs did you end up with after alignment? :tiphat: |
if you have the front camber kit from SPC then yes you can adjust it.
id have to search for that alignment info. the NTB i used for the alignment sucked, just a heads up. |
What's the recommended Alignment setting's for a car that will see track maybe once or twice a year but mainly street driven. Currently lowered on BC Coils and waiting to put SPC Rear camber and toe bolts.
|
Great deal about the alignment info. It'll be interesting to get yours and a few more lowered Nismo alignment specs...Thx for the heads up about NTB; I have been recommended a place used to perform Z alignments.

The post from AK in the link below shows the stocks specs, having the car tech tweak (based on that info) some of the specs should be able to get you what you want... Not too sure but I would think that would be it... maybe Stocks Alignment Specs |
im at -1.6 camber front, -2.6 camber rear. toe is at 0.16 in rear..cant remember what im at in the front
|
i know my rears with drop before my spacers was -2.ish in the rears. front were -1.6

VH370ZNISMO, thanks for the great info and the pic - it looks great & aggressive. Are your settings for track purpose? It seems you went with a very negative camber from the specs.
|
Yes it's really a track set up but I like that way the rear has a complete set of spl arms lock out bolts and replacement bushes
|
Thank you sir, that clears up a couple of questions

I had alignment done yesterday, my pre-alignment settings were at track level. I had the shop bring the car back to spec just to see if I could notice a difference in handling. I will have the car set at a more negative camber very soon.

birdman make sure you dont have the factory specs for the sport package. the nismo has a different factory alignment spec sheet. it should say nismo somewhere at the top of that form you have. if memory serve me well the rear camber on the nismo is a min of -1.4, your sheet says -1.2.

+1 for info   |
no prob! i had the guys at NTB tell me they couldnt align my car because they only had the spec sheet for the 2009 nismo...... my confidence went out the window with that comment. :\

:icon17: hmmm bye lol

does anyone else notice that when coming to a stop, the car wants to drastically pull to the left.
and also, it seems when just driving down a straight road the car really likes to wander, like a drunk is driving the car. is this all due to the alignment specs or what? |

check em all. id start off by asking you, do you have matched tires? (front and rears are the same brand/model). if yes, get your wheels rebalanced. if this doesnt fix it, check your alignment, your toe could be out of wack |
Here is mine after lowering and installing rear camber arms & toe bolts.

Guys I have noticed as you lower the Z that the ideal Toe for the rear is ~.20 total toe (IN). This helps mitigate camber wear and also helpswith corner turn in response.

rear i remember factory camber being something like -1.4/-1.6 im at -2.2ish with no camber kits. im eating tires every 10-12k miles:icon14: |
At the setting I have, my tires wear is even all around. I have yet to stop at the alignment shop once again and check the Nismo settings.
