coilover install
 

I picked up a set of taiwan coilovers (tein knock-offs) and installed the rear shocks this morning. Before the install I checked the damping rates and controls/ajustments, all were symetrical and ranged from 30% softer to 30% firmer. After the install, the ride on full soft is great. Rear is able to handle more power sooner without the breaking loose, better weight transfer. I'll have to do some skid pad checks before I can call it better under all conditions. Plan on putting the fronts on tomorrow. Plan on keeping all the ride hights stock for now.

Full install finished, very happy .5 lower front & .7 rear.

I am forced to reduce both the compression and rebound stiffness of my Nismo while retaining ride height at or near stock.
I purchased the car intending on keeping it a good long while. Local road conditions being such, the car is literally being shaken to bits, thus necessitating a suspension change. Further, should the car be lowered more than 1/2" below stock height, the front lip will certainly be destroyed.

I am .5 inch lower in the front now (after installing the fronts coilovers) scrapped 3 times yesterday all my fault. I plan on putting the rear springs in today (lower the rear to raise the front some). front camber is not too bad but the toe is out, turns in like a monster but is touchy in stright line tracking, again not to bad. I'll see how the tires wear. Ride is improved even more but the road noise is about the same. More to come; Anyone need a set of NISMO struts and spring?
