Up for my first oil change

Nismo Players,

Im due for my first oil/filter change. Just wanted to get some feedback on what brand/type you use for each. I want the BEST for my Fairlady, price isn't an issue.

Grazie

Lots of information in the above thread.

We run Mobile 1 0w-40 (OEM GTR and Viper fill) plus Mobile 1 filters.

Reason for the 0w-40 is that it consistently shows very good wear characteristics in oil analyses, and mobile oils tend to run on the thinner side. Ie, the 40w is really more like a 35w and the mobile 1 5w-30 oil after it's been used for a while breaks down to about a 20w.

Another great choice would be Amsoil 5w-30. Just don't buy into the nissan ester oil crap. You'll pay $100 for an oil change and still not have that great of a lubricant in your engine.

Man I love oil threads...:happydance:

I know the Nissan dealership down the road from me uses Pennzoil Fullsyn on their cars, well they did for mine at least...

I will use the ester crap for a few changes as the car came with 3 free changes. Cant see wasting that away. Here in Fl its true oil will brake down fast do to the everyday heat.

I switched to Mobile 1 synthetic on my first oil change and have been using it ever since. Lovin it.............
