Default White smoke/coolant smell?!

Hey i just picked up my pearl white 2011 nismo Z. Ive already noticed that they didnt remove the spring extenders, after having asked them about 6 times to make sure. Also i just pulled it into my garage and about 20 seconds after shutting off the car i noticed white smoke coming out of only the right exhaust pipe and a sweet smell which i can only assume is coolant. Is this a known problem? I've never bought a new car before. As you know tomorrow is easter and i cant bring the car in until monday. Any suggestions on what i should do? Would it be safe to drive the car tomorrow and monday until i can bring it in after work?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't drive around if you believe there is a coolant leak of that nature. I would contact the dealer ASAP and have them check out the car.

have the dealer send a flat bed to pick it up and if your state has a 3 day law pick out a new car.

I don't think you have a problem, your engine is going to have to go through some heat cycles...it's perfectly normal. Just be nice on the RPM's, I can't remember what was recommended but I believe I stuck with under 3k and off the freeway as much as possible just to keep the consistant RPM's away (etching in the cylinder sleeves)....~1500miles

I think your car is fine. It's natural to have some smoke and odor for the first few hundred miles as the engine and exhaust system are burning off residual oils from the manufacturing process.

Until you are sure, I would limit the spirited driving and take an easy break-in period. Keep an eye on the gauges if you really think there is a leak. You should know in a few trips if there is a serious issue that would require taking it back to the dealer.

I didn't notice any of that during my break in period, but it is true that everything is "wearing in" and seating/sealing. How are your fluid levels?

So did you get to dealer yet. If not check oil for water and water for oil.

I just purchased my Nismo last night and had the same thing happen after I parked the car in my garage. There were no fluid leaks whatsoever. I believe the car is just burning off the residual oils from manufacturing.

I've had this happen with other cars I've owned. Everything should be fine...
