Can you get a NISMO Z with NAV???
 

As I understand you cant get a NISMO Z with Nav... but I was watching this Japanese video where they are testing the car on a track and the car has leather seats and NAV. and the seats even have the word NISMO indented in the seats.

i dont believe you can here in the US

They also have the steering wheel on the right hand side of the car and a rear window wiper. But you can't get that in the US either.

The only one I have seen is the one in that vid of the one in Japan. I actually looked into getting the parts (thru various dealerships) and decided to abandon after seeing the price tag. The NISMO in the vid had all of the options available to the Touring Z. Man cooled seats would have been the money, but I would be broke a few times over messing around with the prices I was quoted.:icon14:

I think I am smart enough to realize the video is from Japan. I am just curious because I would love to get a nismo Z but not having a Nav is a deal breaker for me. I just dont get Nissan sometimes... why offer nav in Japan only? its stupid to me.

If the nav is a must for you, you can always go with the Touring trim where you'll also get bose speakers, heated/ventilated seats, homelink mirror...

If you must have a Nismo, you can always add an aftermarket Nav and be done with it. Plenty members went that route, here is what it would look like.

How would you know what a good car is for me?... I daily drive a 1991 S13 that I built. I love the car and I love small cars but the 240sx is not a car I could go out to dinner on a friday night with the wife and hit the track on saturday. We also drive an 2010 RX350 and I love the luxury of it. So in other words I am looking for a little luxury in my sports car.

Most of the folks (and I emphasize MOST) of the poeple here have something constructive to say without getting all defensive. To me, you came off all sideways and did it again when Fuct posted. If you did actually build a S13, then you should know how to source parts to get what you want. People theses days................:ugh2:

This could get ugly quick... OP I think the Z qualifies for a car you could take your wife to dinner and to the track. You just have to look into the different trims for what works for you and your wife... I feel i must add that the nismo can be a bit too raw for some. You also have alternatives for luxurious little cars namely porsche, mercedes SLK, Audi S5 though the S5 is not as small.

lets all be mature here... I am obviously not looking for a full on luxury, I just like gadgets and coming from a 240sx I want a little of an upgrade. This was just a question about the nismo model offering nav not to bash me because I want more out of a car.

Perhaps a touring + sport is the best option for you then instead of a nismo

Oh....I get it now we should be civilized. In any case, the touring/sport Z may be what you would like or even a G37S for that matter. I went with the Z because the G was considerably more and I got the basics of what I wanted for a good price. Good luck with your hunt...............

well heres a mature answer. Your looking at the wrong trim to begin with then. The nismo isnt the only z that is track capable. Touring + Sports + Nav is what you want.

i really wanted nav in my nismo at first too. BUUUUUTTTTT it turns out that lil cubby thing is a great place to store ****! and if you get an aftermarket nav it goes benieth it! now you have both!

Dude seriously what your asking is stupid. you are wanting more luxury and features than a 1991 S13, hell man a camry has more lux and features.

the Z will feel like a freaking LS460L if you are coming from a gokartS13

If you go back and read your "mature" responses to some member's posts, you will see that you actually brought this on yourself. I came to this thread to share my insight on the situation. In response to your situation again...........you should just go to the dealer and check the Touring/Sport and the NISMO out. While you are at it tell us more about your S13. Fastback? Coupe? Any upgrades?

Thanks man.. I actually sat in a Nismo model yesterday at my local dealer... they didnt have a touring in stock. The nismo feels great inside. Now I have to sit in a touring model to feel the difference. As for my S13 is a 1991 Coupe model converted to Silvia and its fully modded.

Cool man. I am not a SR fan, but that is because I loved the CA. I had an 89 Fastback. Only upgrades were GT2871, injectors/FP, Apexi Super GT exhaust, eBay downpipe (cat delete), and S14 PowerFC (rechipped for CA18DET). I loved that car, but it was Euro spec and Italy didn't want to let it out of the country. Ill part is that NHTSA (sp?) gave me the green light to bring it back to the states.

Ok, back on topic. If you were closer, I would have volunteered my NISMO for your test drive. I have a Kenwood DNX6960 installed, so I have NAV. Let me know if you want me to share my pricelist of the JDM goodies to make the NISMO into a Touring NISMO. It is not nice though..........

These other people dont get me. its not that I want a full luxury vehicle, and I know the Z is not supposed to be a smooth ride and thats why I want one. If I wanted full luxury I would be going the infiniti route. But anyways. thanks for the help bro.

When looking for a new car and not a used one I usually go to the manufactures website to see what is available then seek on the forums. Could be why your catching hell here, or maybe you did. Anyways from the looks of the car your driving now you might want to get the nismo and then install the aftermarked nav. I think that will be the cheapest way out of the gate for you instead of having nav and then wanting to replace springs, exhaust, blah blah, etc... Either way I think you'll be happy with either one. There fun cars. Just dont jump on a new corvette without a blower. It takes all the fun out, lol!

lol... thanks for the advice... I did check online but when I saw the video I said "could it be" I thought maybe nissan was adding the touring features to the nismo model... I guess I was wrong...

Here ya go.....a Nismo with Nav........A quick trip to the stereo shop and pick out a Kenwood HU that has the built in Garmin Nav.

thats a pretty aftermarket nav unit. is it DVD based or built in the unit(harddrive)

Its a Kenwood DNX9980HD. The Garmin GPS info is built into the unit and updates are done with an SD card if needed.
