How long will the stock tires last?

Miles??? 25K?? I have 6K on them now and thay look fine.

chops 01-19-2011 05:55 PM

all depends on how you drive of course. im hoping to get 15k from my front and rear. ive been known to let the rear slide out pretty often so lets hope they last ;)

c41006 01-19-2011 06:02 PM

Ya it all depends but i would say 15k-20k

pokeyl 01-19-2011 07:20 PM

i am in Florida so when i get near the wearbar I change the hydroplane is bad!!!

KcL@AOI 01-20-2011 12:12 AM

im already in need of tires at 5k miles, because of all the tourge from the TT

fuzzywuzzy 01-20-2011 01:51 AM

fronts 13-15 rears 12 is close to the limit as in not safe in medium to heavy rain.

fuct 06-22-2011 10:15 AM

i got 18k outa them. i was very impressed!

TX_370 06-22-2011 10:18 AM

ouch?

Ty Weezy 06-28-2011 08:58 AM

I got about 20k and my rears were done. My fronts still had a little less than half tread left though.

roplusbee 06-28-2011 11:33 PM

I squeezed 25k outta my rears and the fronts are still going with a little less than half tread life left.

roplusbee 06-29-2011 07:33 AM

Woohoo..........straight from Afghanistan. I hate this place.

The NISMO is going to Zerolift in a couple of days for some TT goodness.

birdmanx1 06-29-2011 07:42 AM

wohooo, glad you are back safe and probably tanned ;) You should probably update the number of miles you get on your tires once you go FI :)

That's fantastic man!!!!! Any plans on coming back to Baltimore anytime soon. If so bring the beast along, that would be great to check it out

roplusbee 07-01-2011 04:19 AM

Unfortunately, I'm going to be out here for quite some time. I am going to try to make it to B-more when I come back on mid tour leave, but definitely once I redeploy. I am excited to finally get the NISMO TTd. We can compare notes when I come through. I shoot you a PM when I am in a safer environment.

BTW.........I will be going w/ the V12s all around or Yokohama Advans (if I got big money), but I have some time to get my ducks in a row.

birdmanx1 07-01-2011 04:14 PM

Deal man!! Be safe out there and let me know when you are in town

sofaonasock 11-13-2011 12:25 AM

I'm almost done w/ my rears at 27.5k! :)

Thechidz 11-13-2011 12:29 AM

Just changed mine at just about 18k miles. Rears were bald as charles barkley. Just turrrrible

blacknismoZ 11-18-2011 03:48 PM

14k

QVu 11-18-2011 04:52 PM

Mine are at 2/32nds at 16k.

Time for some new ones! But not til after the holidays! Already ordered the FI exhaust as a XMAS to myself LoL

nismochiq 11-27-2011 04:17 PM

I got around 19k out of mine, I went with continental right now because i use it as a daily driver, better for just driving around and not worrying about the wear too much. plus guaranteed up to 60k. I wanted to get F1 eagle but again in school now so just waiting on that nice paying job to start my mods and upgrades

wheee! 11-27-2011 04:46 PM

17,000 kms out of my rears and the fronts are still at 80%..

Justin1686 11-27-2011 05:10 PM

I only got about 13k out of my rears, no tracking. Or anything to it either. Fronts had maybe 2-3k more on them tho. Replaced with michelin pilot super sports bout 4 days ago

frost 11-27-2011 05:12 PM

33k miles so far. I was just at the dealership and they said they still have good life on them :roflpuke2: :roflpuke2:

I dunno, definitely not like I baby the thing. While I drive pretty fuckin fast, I don't peel out, and Phoenix roads and freeways are maintained better than almost anywhere else I've ever been.

Thechidz 11-27-2011 05:36 PM

Ah yeah, the ideal climate probably has a lot to do with it. I love driving in the southwest

MJB 11-27-2011 08:14 PM

I have close to 12k miles on mine. I would say I could probably get another 10k miles out of them. RE-11's will be there replacement!

Figtuna 12-20-2011 08:08 PM

My Yoko's gave it up @ 21,500 miles. Replaced them with the Continental Extremes...HUGE difference in the noise level compared to Yoko's. I'll never go back.

the yoko although louder is a MMMUUUUCCCHHHH better tire. put 10k miles on those extremes and then come back to this thread.

Figtuna 12-22-2011 10:46 PM

Inquiring minds have to know

Ya just can't say that and leave us hanging...why are the Yokos better and what happened to cause you to switch? Give it up.....

BlackZeda 12-24-2011 02:09 PM

Mine lasted around 12,000, but popped each of the front tires. They perform great, but IMO are pretty fragile. Switched to Michelin Pilot Sport PS-2s last summer which I will go with again.

Figtuna 12-26-2011 04:04 PM

I see you're from the Denver Area. I purchased my red 2010 Nismo from Go Now Nissan in the Denver suburb and they had a black one there. Is that where you bought your Nismo?

Just Curious

Yep, that is where I purchased and get mine serviced. They have turned out to be a pretty solid dealer. I think their full name is Go Nissan Arapahoe (on Arapahoe road). They are about 2 miles away so it is convenient too!

roplusbee 12-27-2011 04:04 PM

I have Hankooks on the rear right now, but the Yoko's are pretty awesome in terms of grip. I noticed a considerable difference when I switched as well. Going to switch back once I get back to the states. Maybe go with 305s in the rear as well........
