Late 90's?

Yes, they under-rated the engine in the F-bodies.

However, he was saying his intake had larger runners. Even after popping my hood and showing him the exact same LS6 intake, he stuck to his story, pointing at his and saying "See, they are larger!". He was so convinced that he was seeing things.

yeah, thats what I meant. For some reason I was thinking we had an 87 Z28 convertible, but it was a 97. I was just graduating college in 87 and on my first car, but we are now on our 30, 31, and 32nd cars.

hell, maybe it was a 98, I really can't remember, but I do remember hot rod magazine and the like dyno testing them (the LS's). After so many cars, things blur a little.

Regardless, that one was my wife's car and she doesn't like modding, so it didn't matter which it had. We only keep them for a year or so anyways normally. Finally starting to slow down though, had my 350 for 3 and a half years, the vette for 4 and now the 370 for a year and a half, but I'm getting itchy. When does the C7 come out? 2012 or 2013?

C7 should be out in 2012 as a 2013 model, from what I understand. Still, I wouldn't buy the first year-model. Personally, I think now is the time to buy a 'vette. Get a Z06. About everything that can be done to refine the platform, has been done, and it's awesome. The next gen will have to go through the refining process again, and I doubt there will be a 427ci engine offered.

Took wify's speed3 in for smoking turbo problem. The service rep told me that to get rid of the smoking issue, you as the owner need to start using synthetic oil. I was like WTF?? One, you are not going to fix the dang turbo and two you ask us to just deal with ourself? He also said that you got a sporty car and it requires synthetic oil and you got to pay to play(who in their right mind say that to the customer?). So I said "but my 370z does not require synthetic oil" He then ask me "did you get the NISMO because it's a different engine" I told him it's the same!!! and thats not what he heard. At the end of the day, all the sales dpt side were really nice and the service dpt were bunch butt holes. Now, we have been in and out of the dealer for the same problem for over 5 times already and we have decided it's time to move on and look for somthing else. So, what can we get that is fast, fun and practical at the price range of $18000

getting off topic, but been there, done that. Although mine was a first year 05 with a supercharged A&A Vortech 515 rwhp regular C6 with custom widebody conversion (Z06 fenders front and rear and aftermarket hood and bumper so I wouldn't be a poser!). I need new stuff! No real problems with it, even being a first year, as is my 09 370.
