I have a 2012 and the gap is just as big on the front. And yes I took out the spacers and double checked just to make sure.

I just got my nismo back from having a twin turbo installed. This is one of the pics that was taken from install.

It was a steal. It had all piping, intercoolers, hks test pipes and everything that was needed. I was saving up for a super charger and was just about to buy it when I saw this for sale. I really wanted a twin turbo but I wasn't able to afford it until this came along. I'm very happy with it.
