I really wanna get mines painted too but a friend of mine who has a body shop advised me not to do so, he was saying that the lights will end up being cracked from the heat generated from the light..

Did mine with a friend years ago and still fine.
Just take your time and do proper prep and use quality material.

Fitment was near perfect after initial install. After moving over the 3 latches the hood didnt catch quite right on the drivers side. I just needed to adjust the height a little bit on the drivers side latch and then it fit perfectly.
