Hey FL 4Motion, how have the XP8s been for you on front and rear? You have them on the stock akebono or another bbk?

running them on the stock akebono brakes. XP8's have been fine up until wife's last track event this past summer, she overheated them and thank goodness there was plenty of runoff on that particular turn.

Next time out, we are going to run XP10 (f), and XP8 (r) combo to try and accomodate the heat in the front. If that eventually doesn't work, we'll just break down and buy the stillen brake cooling kit and the nismo dry carbon brake ducting to attach the hoses to. (not looking forward to that).

PS--if you aren't super experienced tracking the Z, the XP8's will be just fine, as you get progressively faster/more experienced, you might find you need more front brake due to the higher temps you generate. Also will depend on the track layout and outside temps as well.

pps- we run these pads all the time, street as well, no issues at all, not excessive squealing imo (and with our exhaust, you can't hear the squealing anyway. :))
