Emergency!
Hey guys so the first day i bought my Z i drove to work and parked at the far end of the lot away from all cars. So when i came out i saw a huge dent in my front bumper and i was naturally furious. Luckily the owner of a 87 el camino was there to chalk up to the damage.
anyways i got everything squared away with the insurance and i got the repairs fix at a nissan approved body shop. what i need to know is on anyone elses nismo when they look inside the front bumper from the front if they look up do you see a huge foam piece? can anyone post pictures looking up into the opening on the bumper? Or a schematic of the parts? I will really appreciate it. The car will be ready tomorrow or the next day and i want to make sure its right before i pay them. Thank you! |

And yes. Without that foam piece you would die in a fiery car crash with a front-end hit. That's the "energy absorber". 620 Front Bumper :: Body(Front,Roof & Floor) :: Genuine Nissan Parts :: 370Z Parts (Z34) 2009-2010 :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com |

LOL.. not saying that.. just saying don't mess with it when you're working on the car..
And I'm thinking it's more to do with the 5mph energy absorbing standards they have for frontal impacts versus structural integrity of the car.. |
