Race Ramps

I just lowered all of the Race Ramps prices yesterday. Those prices are good until the manufacturer publishes a new price list (possibly in February). The Flatstoppers are $20 off my regular price through 17-Dec-2010.

haha thats very true..although they wont ever leave my garage so im perfectly fine with that!

$300 otd includes shipping.... built in extenders..... When is this going to be available? Still thinking bout it. $150 definitley sign me up for a set but at $300 still have to think bout it. Nice though. Please let us know when they are going on sale. Will it be shortly in a week or 2 or are we talking months?

Believe me I will be sending up flares when the 2-stage incline ramps are available. When they were going to be custom ramps made for Reverse Logic I expected to be selling them by 1-Dec-2010. But now that they are going to be regular production ramps, I think the introduction may be held up until there is an initial inventory and marketing materials both in hard copy and for the web.

Over 2000 visitors have clicked on the page of my website describing the new ramps. So I know there is plenty of interest.

2-Piece, 2-Stage Incline Race Ramps

Even though the ramps use very little more material than the standard 56" and 67" ramps, I believe there may be more scrap when the ramps are cut from large 300 to 400 pound foam blocks. This is because of the kink along the top line of the incline section. Also, the ramps are shipped by dimensional weight so a 30 pound set of ramps will ship at about the equivalent of an 80 pound package. The 2-stage incline ramps will take a freight cost hit because of the longer length. The RR-80-2 ramps will probably have to be shipped in two cartons.

I will post the estimated shipping date as soon as I have it.

Here's a simple ramp test gauge that you can make from a piece of scrap cardboard kicking around the garage.

Materials:
Corrugated cardboard 29.5" long by 6" to 10" wide.

Tools:
Sharp utility knife
Tape measure

Instructions:
Cut the cardboard to a length of 29.5". This is about the length of a flap on a 30" cardboard box. Mark two lines across the width of the cardboard. One line should be 5" from the end of the cardboard, and the second lines should be 1/2" from the opposite end of the cardboard. The two line should be 24" apart. Fold the cardboard 5" from one end and 1/2" from the other end so that it forms the shape of a ramp. It helps if the corrugations run parallel to the width of the cardboard.

Using the ramp gauge:
Place the short end of the ramp up against the front edge of the tire. If the 5" high ramp gauge clears the front bumper and the any other body work then the standard 56" or 67" Race Ramps with a 10.75 degree incline will work with your car. If the ramp gauge is too high, cut the 5" length to 3.5" and try again. If the 3.5" ramp clears, then the standard Race Ramps in combination with an XTender ramp will work with your car.

A new 2-pc, 2-stage incline ramp will be available soon and can be used for cars with very low ground clearance. If the 3.5" high ramp gauge has the necessary clearance, then the new ramp will also work for your car. Basically, the 2-stage incline ramps have an integrated XTender.

The new ramps are finally in production and begin shipping next week.

The ramps are not considered custom, but, they are not a standard Race Ramps product either. They will be made to order so there will be a week or so processing time before the ramps ship. Complete details are at our website.
