Did you verify the tire is properly inflated after it came on again?

If the tires are fully inflated and the TPMS light came on you probably have a faulty sensor in one of the wheels.

If one of the tires is low on air, then you have a slow leak. Probably a nail in the tire somewhere that you need to track down.

Leak Issue

I have already had one leak repaired and in the passenger rear, and the driver's rear seems like it might be leaking a bit. It helps me a lot to have an air compressor in my garage, and I check pressures every day.

I drive the vehicle quite hard and probably am suffering the common woes of the "super cool sticky tire" crowd. I have been told by some of my gear-head friends that if these tires last me 2 years I am doing good.

Ive got the same problem, still have to check for a nail or something, but mine comes on ever 2 weeks or so.

2 years!! hahah if you "drive" em hard look at about a year....

weather got cold here also. first day my TMPS light goes off. i figured it was just the cold weather and that they were only off by a few pounds. nope! they were in the 20's! all four! and i know they were close to 34 cold just days prior.... is it that the tires cant hold air if they sit too long in the cold? duno

Rooskey 11-16-2010 01:44 AM

Seems like the nitrogen does not hold up as well in my experience. Some say it does but my newer company trucks have the light on too. I have a big compressor with dryers so im just gonna keep adding air to em and see if they hold up longer. We'll see

fuct 11-16-2010 09:33 AM

just plain air in my tires. no nitrogen......

Hey guys,
I have a 2013 Nismo and my tire pressure light went on due to low tire pressure. The dealer said if the tire pressure is too low or too high the sensor will go off.

Tadpole 10-21-2014 08:37 PM

Hasn't happened to my Z but has with my wife's Sentra. Her car is cool as it beeps at you to tell you your air pressure is right when adding air.

These tires will not last two years unless you hardly drive that car. They will last about 20k miles and thats it.

When the weather temp changes so does the pressure in your tires but if it keeps going off, I would bet you have a nail in it or a slow leak or a faulty sensor.

Got my nismo in January of 2012 and I'm approaching 23K miles on the stock advans. I am in desperate need of a new set, and am getting ready to buy them, but I have not had a light go on regarding pressure. In the meantime I'm trying to refrain from driving her much

Hotrodz 10-23-2014 12:36 AM

Check your the tire pressure several days in a row, if the pressure is constant, then you have a bad sensor or there is system error. Mine came on and my tire pressure was always fine when measured it. I drove it for three weeks before I could get to a dealer and they tested the system and the sensors were fine so they reset everything and all has been fine since.

Tadpole 10-23-2014 05:46 AM

If and when you get ready to buy be sure to buy the entire set. Our Z's are finicky when it comes to tires and how it drives.
