Actually, the longer tube should move peak power down, not up. If the diameter varies from OEM, or varies along the length of the tubing, it could gain (or lose) in both places. Of course, that's assuming the gains aren't from misreads on the MAF sensors...

The HPS tubes do they really do anything? Its such a small amount of tubing from the inlet box to the throttle body. Those ribs can't make that much of a difference. I don't see the relevance. Anyone have a before and after result just from the tubes?

I didnt do a before and after dyno for those parts, but if you think about it it should help with less heat soak and a more direct airflow.

The less heat soak I can definitely agree. But the airflow.... Gonna ask some NASA engineer. I'm thinkin along the lines of a golf ball. Why do they have dimples. So they can go further. Less drag, less turbulent wake.... So maybe those ribs are there for that purpose. On second thought the ribs are probably there for noise restriction and doesn't effect flow all that much.
