okay so i let my mom borrow my car and she came back to my house and she told me that while she was pulling into sonic she came to close and crunched the front left side of the bumper i've only had the car a month as of today and ive already had to pass down 400 for a new tire due to a flat sooo im wondering where i can have my bumper replaced other then the dealer and if it could be salvaged
Are you looking to replace the bumper or do a touch up?
what would you recommend
Might need a new bumper. You can either purchase another nismo bumper or go aftermarket. All depends on how much you wanna spend
where would i get another bumper other then the dealership??
Well depends on what you want. Do you want the nismo or something else>?
definetly want the stock nismo lip that came with the car
Might have to go to dealer for that. Gonna be cheaper doing aftermarker thou.
That suks to see that, but since it's new, I'd look into just getting it replaced, I wouldn't want a bondo repair but thats me. Good luck! a not too expensive lesson learned.
never letting her drive my nismo or 2010 camaro ever again yes your right lessoned learned
lol what to do now?
Rule number one for Z owners is never let anyone but yourself drive your Z.
lets just hope the process is smooth and quick so i can get my baby out on the road where she belongs :driving:

Buy a new front bumper and have it resprayed. How much is your deductible? Might want to go through your insurance. Your best bet would be to go around and get estimates from reputable body shops to get a good idea of what the cost is.
Your car will not be salvaged for just a replacement front bumper. |

just figured he had alot of solutions already, but i just had to ask. |
No need to replace it.
Take it to a local body shop. That's definitely repairable. They should be able to heat the dented area, it will expand back out about 90% or more. Then sand, plastic fill, finish sand and repaint. I've had it done on my BMW, cost me around 250.00. Perhaps they can even only paint the bottom lip portion, rather then the hole bumper. That will save you some money. But I guess an hour prep/repair, 80-100. Paint 100.00 materials, 50. 250- is fair. |

You know those ugly arse yellow placards on the visors? They should warn the driver about ground clearance instead of bags. That sucks man. No other way to put it. :).
You could possibly save the bumper itself, but the plastic piece(s) look screwed. Maybe if you replace the plastic piece and have a bodyshop work out the bumper, you could have some success. I would get an estimate though...........
I have to have my hood repaired because of a security gate mishap, but I plan on having the car repainted to eliminate rock chips and such. Let us know how it pans out. |
Get the real front end from dealer. That keep the value of you nismo at the highest. After market will be just that, a fake part on a real car. And you will know that your nismo has a walmark part on it and you'll hate yourself for it down the line.
Just an FYI,
Front bumper of a Nismo will set you back $700.00 plus $38.00 for the emblem. Estimate for removal, paint, and addition of new bumper will be around $1200.00 total. |

I believe the bumper on my 350z only set me back 250.00 or so. Kinda sucks they jacked the price for the Nismo that much higher.
