Fenders chipping?
Hello everyone, I have a small amount of paint chipping of the rear fenders whee they meet the bumpers. The paint is chipping off because the fender and the bumper were making contact. I showed Nissan (local) and they put it on record. I also talked with Nissan USA and they made a file for me reflecting that there is a issue. Is this normal for anyone else?

A million fine scratches across entire car YES, chipping at quarter panel/rear bumper cover NO.

I guess I might be too in to the details, the paint is coming from in side the seem where the two pannels meet. Thanks for the responce. I havent noticed the fine scratchs yet, looking foward to that!

I think that there are other posts on this problem. My car has them also. It is a very small spot, but it is there from the panels moving slightly.

I'm getting it on the actual bumper though where it meets the quarter panel on both sides.

I have them as well.

Gang,
Welcome to the world of Nissan paint...! It sucks. I traded my 03 for an 370 last year and it too had the same problem with paint chips |
2010 red nismo 1,100 miles on it. My paint is coming off the rear panel at the fender wells. My chevrolet work truck has better paint than this thing. Just think if you by a used z that has had paint work it you should probably take it as a plus!! LOL!
