I test drove the GT I felt it did not stick like the Z. The GT Looses traction easy out of the corners if you are hard on the throttle. When you shift the weight side to side the front tires do not want to bite like the Z either. Not sure what they post for the slalom speed for the GT. I know it is better than previouse models, but it deff feels slower than the Nismo when transitioning side to side. The Nismo is nimble for a 3300 lb car, that is why I think the Z will walk away from the GT in the twisies. |
First, there's nothing wrong with going to the track with a stock car.
Second, a driver mod works really well for 1/4 racing. You can add all the parts you want to your nismo but if you can launch or shift worth a damn then all the mods will be worth crap. $0.02 |

you mean learning to drive your car is actually important. Who would have guessed. By the way, other than highflow cats and lighter rotors, the Nismo needs no mods. Besides, what fool would mess with a pkg already built to dance. I was simply comparing the diff in nature of two fine autos, the GT and the Z. The only reason I brought up the Nismo is cause its what I drive today. Have had two 350's and my share of 280's. I have driven my share of Z's. I never believe the crap you read or someone tells me, I do the homework myself. Don't buy they hype, always know your adversary. |

Good luck at the track with nismo. This car is not a drag racer at all, even worst than my G. Did 1 1/4 mile day at the track and was really disappointed because of its really stiff rear springs. There absolutely no room for the rear end to squat and that causes a nasty shaking and the risk of damaging the diff. If you can get under 2.2 60ft time with this car then u did an excellent job. Now i know why magazines get the same exact 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers as the regular 370.....
I might give it one more try later this year with 1/4 mile and then give it a rest as far as drag racing goes. |
