Crashed my 370z Nismo yesterday.

The reason you're getting negative feedback is that the majority of people on this forum think it's irresponsible to go out at 3AM to live out one's Tokyo Drift fantasies, period. So the last thing they're going to do is "collaborate" on how you could have done it better! As for not being selfish by posting what happened to you, I will give you that. Credit where credit is due. But the only way I see your post truly benefiting others is in its service as a cautionary tale. In other words, your post is valuable only in so far as it serves as an example of what NOT to do. Also, I know you're quite new to this forum, so you may not be aware of something. Namely, you're not the first person to post about wiping out their Nismo while trying to slide around, have some fun with VDC turned off, etc. Point being, a lot of the negativity stems from the fact that we're seeing a pattern develop with all these posts, a pattern that actually makes me wonder what is it about the Nismo that appeals to a demographic that appears to have a higher incident rate of irresponsible antics leading to crashes. So one could also argue that by posting your experience, you're also helping to further sully the collective reputation of Nismo owners. I mean seriously. Based on all the posts I've seen from Nismo owners wiping out, if I ever were to consider buying a used one, I think one of the first things I'd ask is "How many times has this thing been crashed into a curb?" Now, I don't know if you think I'm being a negative prick after all that, and it's okay if you do. But I'm just trying to be honest with you.
Finally a reasonable approach. As I said before, the only reason I posted it to prevent new accidents like this. Totally agree with you.

Take it easy on the OP guys. I am sure he learned from this. No point in kicking the guy while he's already on the ground.

Good luck with the car.

About the comment on the other crashes, those were not in the same way and I don't owe you any explanation on it. If I should re-evaluate what I drive today is also not up to you. Don't be biased against others and try to take it in a professional/educational matter. Next Z could be yours (hope never happens to you) but be sure I would never judge anybody here in a personal way.
It is not up to this forum, no, but per the states I know (Texas/New York) you would have lost your license for your driving incident at 3AM. My point of you re-evaluate your car of choice is not for you, but for the safety of others on the road. You clearly have demonstrated your ability to crash vehicles in unsafe & public locations, which now calls into question others safety. You picking to drive a non-sports car would benefit your safety and that of others on the road.

Wow after reading this whole thread, it's obvious that the OP is an idiot. You crashed 3 cars the same way and STILL don't know how to drift? Also, before you go out doing dumb*** **** like that, do some research. The 370z is very unforgiving as a drifter, and isn't as easy to control like the other "more common" vehicles.

Hopefully you've learned your lesson this time. If you haven't, (I know what I'm about to say may be uncalled for) well if you haven't, I hope you get SERIOUSLY hurt the next time you do this on a public road. Because I believe public roads are not a place for you.

Flame on.

I did something similar to this when i was 17. My first car a Mazda Mx6.
V6 front wheel drive, 2 door.
It had just rained in this empty walmart parking lot. Real slick and shiny. Well i drove alittle too close to random curbs with grass on it. BAM, front left wheel smashed to the back of the wheel well. I was soo freak'n scared afterward, i just sat in my car for 5mins shaking my head.
(not my actual car)

Some people seriously dont think before they do things. I will not sit here and say I hope you get your license taken away (even though I think you should) but I seriously hope you learned your lesson after 3 times of being a complete dumbass. Glad you're alive, but keep driving like you do, and next time you might not be so lucky.
