.... The Nismo ECU adjusts the VVEL & CVTC differently than the base model to increase the valve lift & duration. The max RPM is 7,500 like the non-nismo. *See Nissan USA's website 2010 Nissan 370Z Coupe | Specs | Nissan USA:

The Cobb Tuning & Uprev ECU's / Reflashes do not adjust the VVEL or CVTC. They only modify some of the signals.... They experience an issue with the reflashed ECU automatically retarding timing. The only people who can adjust VVEL is Haltech, Technosquare, and neko.

The Nismo tune is not anything special from what we have seen yet, so they increased the rev limiter and threw on a slightly better exhaust system. The tune probably just opens up the system a bit more which any tune from Uprev/Cobb will do with ease.

The need for them to send anything off because it is a Nismo is completely unnecessary, the engines are the exact same, once you actually dig into a real tune there is no difference. They both support the same exhaust systems, HFC, headers, etc.

grrrr Dreamer. They did not increase the rev limit. same 7500 as everyone else.

Umm...the base/touring tunes/ECU do adjust VVEL just as the Nismo, and Cobb is about to crack VVEL for even more control.
No offense, but so far we have not learned what the Nismo tune increases/decreases yet.

Sorry, thought the base was 7500 and the Nismo was 7600.
But does not change the fact that we do not know what the tune really does yet, or is it mostly the exhaust upgrade.

I doubt either really does that much. I also seriously doubt the factory Nismo "tune" adjusts the VVEL. There has been no documentation at all supporting that idea.

Hell, the exhaust is mediocre as well. Better than stock, yes, but c'mon like that's hard to do.

Also, I don't see how a freakin intake tube can be "tuned" for a different car. The engine PULLS the air in, the intake doesn't PUSH the air into the motor. Just another reason for a 20% increase IMO. Even if it's the same price it's still retarded.
