I was curious where the Nizmo gets the other 18 HP that the base model doesnt have. it's not in the motor is it. Is it the exhaust?

New exhaust, ECM control, 400rpm extra, ....Not 100% sure on it all b/c I havent paid much attention to the Nismo due to the high price.....some searching should help out though. IMO, the minor HP gain isnt worth it if you plan to modify the car.

Well I am not sure how much HP the different exhaust cut out gives. The Nismo uses a H style. Linked for example

you can do that to the everyday z but better you can get way better exhaust and a better ecu tune but the nismo is a "track version" so it had to be a bit better than stock and some people like the idea of the nismo package such as myself

Question. If you feel you know all of these answers why bother to post this thread?

Nismo being a "track version" I dont care to hear. If you give me a base 370z and then give me the extra in cash I would save from buying a Nismo your "track version" wouldnt matter. I would outperform you either way. Like I said if you want to mod dont just buy Nismo for the name. You would be swapping out stock parts for the same stuff people with a base Z would be buying...only thing is you got suckered into paying more bank.

i dont have a nismo and i completely agree with what your saying. idk where you get that i know all the answers. i didnt post this thread im just saying that you can do all the same things to a regular z

The Nismo is NOT just the exhaust and tune. I know these threads show up every month or two, but it's still being over simplified.

He was asking about the 18hp. Not suspension/wheels/aero
