Cobb hasn't replied to my email yet and Google hasn't returned any definitive results (that aren't blocked by our firewall). VH370ZNISMO: Your Cobb AP is returning an error before it accesses the ECU? Do you have to have a Cobb AP to access their forums. It was like that with the Apexi Power FC.

This is yet another reason for me to take it slow with the upgrades. I still have to pick my NISMO up, lol.

I don't understand the AP idea to be honest. My plan is get full bolt ons, which I already have (well I wont have the FI LTH until April probably) and get a tune on a dyno like I did in my RSX. Cobb can make these maps but are they really the best tune for your car? I am really hoping to get about 50 ponys with full bolt ons and a tune but we will see. I think since this car has a dual intake it can be tuned more aggressively than others when staying NA.

What you're missing there TARD is the fact that there are very few products that can manipulate Nissan ECU's. It has been this way for many years across most of their products. In the past the only way to get a tune was to send your ECU to Jim Wolf and tell them what you were looking for and what you had done to your car. Thankfully now we have UpRev and COBB both working on unlocking the full potential of our ECU. Unfortunately they are running into speedbumps like the VVEL.

lol did he just call me a TARD? I thought there were a few companies who can already control every aspect of the ECU's technology. FI's tuner seems to be able to as well as GTM. I see why the AP would be handy for new maps and updates but I would still prefer them to tune it on a dyno that way I know for sure.

Good stuff. I hope that they will use your ECU data to get your AP working properly. That would mean good things for the rest of the NISMO folks also.
