Pilot Sport 4S for the Nismo
Hi all,
I have to change the tires of the '14 nismo and I'm looking forward to installing the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Unfortunately I cannot find the tire dimensions that match my vehicle. (Front 245/40 R19 98Y, Rear 285/35 R19 99Y) Has anybody gone with these tires? in case not, any suggestion for my Nismo?(only premium brands) Thanks in advance! |

285 square, 275 square, 265 & 305 setup. 275 & 305 is also close enough to spec. 255 & 295.

I live here in Florida where it rains a lot in the summer and the Potenza's were actually a little scary to drive with in wet conditions. They broke loose all the time and lost grip when I wasn't expecting them to. Now with the 4S's I can still drive aggressively in the rain and there are no surprises. I can even get on full throttle in second gear and it just sticks. Even when shifting from 1st to 2nd under full throttle the car sticks and plants on wet roads. If you're wanting to slide your Nismo around then you'll hate these tires, but if you're looking for performance and really want to push your car to the limits you really cant beat them. By the way I found mine on Tire Rack in the original OEM fitment. Last edited by EHall; 04-06-2019 at 12:37 PM. Reason: Typo's |

I agree with everything EHALL said. OEM had very short life, about 13k. I live in michigan with a 16 nismo and have put about 20k on the 4s. Only caution is cold weather. Below 45 they begin to get loose like any other summer tire.

Go with these:
265/35 19 305/30 19 which is what I have or 255/35 19 295/30 19 The 4S's look more aggressive and have shoulders that are rounded vs the Super Sport which I also love. They're great tites.

Not an expert but I think....conservative....
5mm spacer on the front. 3mm spacer for the rear.

Front i have 19x9.5 +22 To mount 255/35R19 on 19x9.5 i need to be in +17? Rear i have 19x10.5 +12 To mount 295 or 305/30/r19 i need +10 offset? If so, with 5mm spacers, would you recommend longer studs or will the stock stud be sufficient? I hate to beat on a dead horse but i just got more confise with the last 2 comments. Thanks. |

You can easily throw a 255 on a 9.5" and a 295 or 305 on a 10.5". No inner clearance issues with those sizes and offsets. My comments about "XXmm outboard..." are relative to the fender line.
5mm spacer is the largest I'd go while retaining the stock studs. Anything larger requires extended studs or bolt-on spacers. Some may recommend extended studs even for the 5mm spacer.
