Following on with the handling vices on the 2018 370z Nismo, Ive send Nissan a rejection letter for the Car, so hopping that they will agree and collect the car

Default My Supercharged Nismo

Following on with the handling vices on the 2018 370z Nismo, Ive send Nissan a rejection letter for the Car, so hopping that they will agree and collect the car and offer me a refund in the next few weeks.

As a replacement decided to buy a supercharged Nismo last Friday.
Absolutely love this car, drives as straight as an arrow unlike my 2018 Nismo and the additional 144bhp ish does transform the car.

The car comes fully loaded with Nissan DAB upgrade, illuminated sills, Nissan Cobra Trak 5 tracker, boot mat, dark tinted rear window and rear quarter windows etc

The car has had the following upgrades
- Stillen supercharger with smaller pulley in matt black
- uprated fuel pump, fuel return system
- 725cc injectors
- uprev GT MAF
- bypass valve
- Air temp sensor and loom
- thermostatic oil cooler kit
- ECUtek mapping
- Xtreme single puck competition clutch and flywheel
- gearbox oil cooler
- diff oil cooler
- DBS T3 front disks
- Carbonetic XC10 front brake pads
- japspeed decats
- cobra cat back Exhaust

might be better off removing the pin stripe as it comes off pretty easily. Removed them on mine, only a bit of residue glue to remove underneath.

Yeah, what's wrong with it?

I see you listed a gearbox oil cooler. Is this Nismo an auto or manual?
Also I see a diff cooler listed. Is this a bought aftermarket or a DIY? Got pictures of it?

The new one has a Stillen supercharger on it. Friend of mine on the UK forum. Sadly we need rear wipers on our cars in Europe as it bloody rains here a lot.

Don't forget this guy rejected a spendy BMW for rattles behind the dashboard.

Good luck with the refund, I thought your only issue was with the seat leather which Nissan agreed to replace.

From new the car didn’t drive straight, tramlines badly. Seemed to be crabbing whilst driving on a straight road if the road surface was less than perfectly smooth. Very strange sensation of the car moving slightly to the left and then to the right etc. Felt a little like driving on marbles or ball bearings etc.

Drives very different from all the other 370z Nismos which I have driven including my 2016 Supercharged Nismo.

Had the geometry checked and adjusted 3 times, however caster angle is slightly outside manufacturers tolerance. Also 2018 Nismo have Dunlop GP600 Tyres rather than the Bridgestone Tyres on the earlier models,

Your more than welcome to have a drive of the 2018 Nismo to see what you think of the way it drives, as your only down the road on Hampshire.

With regards to the Supercharged Nismo, I have now covere just over a 1000 miles and absolutely love this car. Not as quick as my Porsche 911 turbo, but it’s a weapon and I absolutely love the way it drives. Everything about the car feels and looks Factory OEM. It’s the car that Nissan should have produced from the factory, the Performance, noise, Road holding and stopping capabilities are spot on.

Not sure who the manufacturer is of the gearbox and diff cooler however they were professionally fitted by a 370z specialist company at the same time as the Stillen supercharger and the other items. Will call them and find out for you.

The car is a 6 speed manual.

I’ve deliberateky left then on and covered then with black pin strip so that I can revert back to OEM look when I get bored with the stealth look etc.

Anyhow thanks for your advice.

The gearbox cooler isn't needed unless you're tracking the car. The diff cooler will help the stock VLSD last a little longer. You want it to handle better. Install a better LSD in the diff. Something like a OS Giken, Cusco, Wavetrac, or a Quaife.

Would like to see pictures from under the car. See how they have the coolers set-up.

All Nismo's tramline some what, because of the wide front tires. You should feel it on a freshly grooved road or a grated bridge with 285/35-19's on the front and 345/30-19 on the rear.

Thanks for the offer but as the caster spec is out of tolerance I guess you have justification to reject the car.

I really wish you well with the process as I seriously doubt I could actually get a dealer to take a new car back when in your case this will be the second car.

I have had a problem from day 2 with the intelligent key light coming on. They initially blamed the key fob batteries twice and are now saying that I must drive with my foot resting on the clutch or else its an OBD scanner permanently plugged into the OBD2 port (Only purchased last month!).

Eight months on I still have the same problem but they say its my fault!
