Any Way to Repair This Bolster Wear?
Okay I get that the new Nismo seats have very large bolsters, but this drives me nuts. "Move your fat butt around it and don't sliiiiiide down!!!"
Pardon my little rant there. This is a used Nismo that I'm looking at, I love the car, but it has this, which I hate as you might have guessed. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? I saw a new one with 125 miles on it and it had the same thing. Is this a problem with these seats? Last edited by hey32g; 10-09-2017 at 07:07 PM. |

I had a tear in my trucks leather seat right on the lower side of the seat cushion where you slide into the seat. I shopped around for a leather repair person that the dealers use. He came over to my house, made the repair, came out great, and has held up for over two years now. I would think that wear spot can be repaired also. It may be worth looking into.

And yeah, it's a problem. I had to learn to put the seat all of the way back getting in and out, so I didn't drag across the bolsters and tear it up.
The clip on my knife left a couple of scars on the bottom of the steering wheel, too. Again, until I started pushing the seat back to get in and out. I might look into fixing it, if I ever decide to sell it. IF. Kirk B. |

Yep. One of the downsides of the Nismo seats. Harder to get in and out of. I try to be extremely careful to not slide across that bolster. I also keep it constantly treated with leather protector.
Any leather expert can repair that and it will look like new. You just need to find out who the car dealers use. They usually come to your house to perform the repair.
