After 1st owner, 4k miles, and a pre-cert inspection, still had the inside braces...unbelievable....

I remember how it used to be driving over railroad tracks, or any non-smooth road. It was a NIGHTMARE. I started having pretty bad back pains (already have a bad back) and seriously considered the fact that I'd have to trade it in for something a little more comfortable. Even turning felt uncomfortable.

Now we know why the original owner got rid of it, haha. That's unfortunate, but glad you found them!

Seemed a real struggle to see in the wheel arch.

I managed to slide my arm in the fronts, but could not feel anything in the coils.

Do I really need to get this up on a lift to check for these?

If you turn your wheels to the outer exremes, you should be able to both see and feel them, but not remove them (obviously).

If you can't feel anything in the coils, it's possible they aren't there. You'll definitely be able to see them though. If it's only the last spacer left (the one in the back) you may not be able to feel it if you can't reach behind the spring.

Take a flashlight and look. I had to show the dealer the back ones. They didn't believe me when I told them they were still in there.

That just means they only removed the (1) on each side that they could get to easily

Bottom line.. Yup, it is meant to be taken out.
Sue your Nissan Dealers if they haven't

None of'em are attached to my springs,
Checked'em thoroughly.

Thank you forum!

Nice find. It's sad the lackie PDI tech is given directions, a drawing and a count of how many spacers there are and we keep getting new owners with this problem. I also had a stripe of the clear tape mentioned on that on the bottom of my chin spoiler I took off as well.
