Now that it's off, i kinda miss the stiffness while cornering, might need to look into stiffer springs up front!

when i first got mine i jacked up the front and pulled off one of these from each side. then when i pulled off my wheels for the first time a couple hundred miles later, i found two more on each side!

Just crazy......I had all three on both sides! During a drive back from downtown today I was saying to myself "WTF was someone thinking make the ride so stiff", but once again I just tacked it up to track intentions. As far as a lawsuit goes, if someone came in to a corner too hard the intended braking dip would not be there thus you would be skating on rubber. I hope someone at Nissan and more importantly NISMO is watching this thread!
Great find and thank you!

Just checked my car last weekend, low and behold they were there. Just the ones on the inside. Thanks to the forum I didn't find them miles later once I jacked up the car. Vehicle was purchased from Tonkin Nissan in Oregon, though it was Nissan of the Eastside in Bellevue WA that did the PDI.

Wow i cant believe that all these nismos have them on there. My car was in the shop for a week so when i read this i couldnt go and check. But i just got it back from the body shop and sure enough they were there. But not just one on each side but three on each side! I was like really? So i took it back to the dealer and let them know that they should look at the other ones they sell. Thanks for this and good looking out

Default Me too!

62 miles into my new Nismo and knew something was not right about the suspension. Looked at mine tonight and there they are - 3 on each side! Time for the floor jack!

My dealer gave me a $300 credit for service/accessories so turns out it wasn't that bad. Doesn't take but a minute to get them off once you get the wheel of the ground.

Its not a bad idea to make the dealerships perform the work. Like bobapooluza mentioned, you never know what you deal or special you might be able to work out.

Default Spring Spacers

I am not a rocket scientist or a genius. But I was a physics major, and have a engineering degree. I suspect the springs could be damaged if driven with the spacers on. Think about this, the spacers basically links 3 or 4 of the spring coils together, and won't allow them to compress. On Mine, there was only 1.5 coils free to compress. In a normal situation, the forces of the car gets dissipated by the compression/expansion of the springs over a period of time. With most of the coils tied up, most of the forces of the vehicle is loaded up in only a couple of the free coils. This may cause the spring to have compression fatigue. The overall spring rate may be lowered. Again, I am just trying to make some sense out of my college books. I am by no means a hardcore mechanic. What do you guys think?

By the way, I found the stupid f'krs today. One on each side. I have been had the car for 2 months with 500 miles on it. Stupid Nissan dealership. First they left deep swirl marks all over my car, and now 2 spring spacers.
You'd think the biggest Nissan dealers in LA would know what they are doing.

well I have 7000 miles on my car, and have been to one SCCA auto cross event, and just today, found one space on either side of my front suspension. I'm definately talking to my alabama dinky *** dealership. I should have known when I ordered the Nismo, they were like, Nismo what? We don't have that - and then when it was delivered the salesman was like "Wow that is T-totally different!"

Wow! Good job man. I gotta check to see if mine has them on there still. I've only had mine for a week now but if its on there, i'm taking it back so THEY can take it off.

Yep! I had 3 of them on the front left and 3 on the front right! Thanks to the awesome hydralic jack, it only took me 5 minutes to take them all off...and in the dark too. lol! I only have 500 miles on mine so I don't think any damage to the coils were done. Thanks again man for that awesome discovery. No wonder why the ride seemed to be a "little" rough! I would've taken it to the dealership to point out there mistake but its kinda an inconvenience with my work schedule. I'm due back for an oil change soon so i'll be sure to mention it to them.
