That's part of the dealer prep also, they use to have yellow stickers on the tires near the valve stems to remind everyone to set the tire pressure.

I just bought a new 2014 Nismo. I flew out from Boston to Michigan because of the deal and drove the car back to Boston. I informed the dealer about the 3 spacers in each front suspension and they confirmed they removed them all. I asked them to double check they pulled them out of the back as sometimes they are tough to see. Again they confirmed, all set..

I piced up the car and drove 800 miles to buffalo and notice the ride is a bit stiffer than I remember in my 350 nismo. Sure enough I look up the car and there is one spacer in the back on each side. Fortunately a nissan dealer in Buffalo took them out for me at no charge.

My question is... is my suspenion going to be screwed up going forward? Did this do any permenant damage or will I be ok.

Also, not sure if it's the car or a suspension issue but the car seems to veer on upstate NY backroads. I may have to check the tire pressure though.

I've also noticed when I manhandled the car and drive more agressively the car performs much better, but when I'm not it feels like minivans are blowing by me/out handling me.

Am I crazy/paranoid or is it just the Nismo excels in higher in the Rev band and is a bit of a dog at 2-3k rpms on back roads.

Thanks for any insight/advice guys

When I bought my Nismo. it was used with 7,000 miles on it. It still had all 3 spacers in each spring. So I think you will be find.

The Nismo doesn't start making power until about 3,500 rpm.

As to veering. The Nismo likes to tramline because of the wide front tires. You should feel what it's like with 275's on the front.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply, I feel much better about it now. I do have to say it's pretty amazing the linear and powerful pull you get when you do stomp on it. You're doing 100 before you know it.

You won't have any suspension issue. I bought my car used with 19,000 miles on it. It still had 2 each in the front springs. LOL

Been riding a few, months in my Nismo and totally forgot about this issue. Just checked and found them on my springs. Getting it lowered on swifts and spacers Tuesday anyway.

Well, guess what? Just performed my first oil change yesterday and low and behold, the damn coil spring retainers had not been removed. So add me to the club. I did not notice any difference after I removed them but I'm glad they're out.

This leads me to a question. What color are your springs and shocks? Mine are all black and I thought that Nismo models came with silver shocks with red coil springs.

THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT ADVICE ON THIS FORUM - Question on responses garages

I Bought IN MARCH 2017 a 2016 demo car from nissan garage with 400km on it, NOW 4000 km later I saw this thread AND GUESS WHAT.... 6 brackets still present.

If I was not part of this forum I would have never known!
As I could not compare I would have driven with it for the rest of my life.

As I bought the 2016 nismo following my heart I would have stayed with it and secretly thought it was indeed a hard ride, without admitting to anyone, including my wife , avoiding critisism on my mid-life crisis buy

QUESTION: when I complained to nissan garage that these things were still present and they did not follow their internal procedures for preparing a car they dismissed it as a small matter...

Q1: Has anyone experience in complaints and responses from nissan corporate?

Q2: Can this have influence on later faults as the springs could not do their work and car rumbles ... what for warranty Claims?

Thanks for any response and enjoy ur ride as much as I do

Kind regards

Peter
