Congrats you have a lot of miles to go. When are you doing your first oil change?

The very first one is up for debate.. Personally I would do the first change at 1500 and another at 3000 to switch to full synthetic. Then regular intervals from there.

On a brand new engine I would do the first oil change at 1000 miles because you could have metal particles in the motor oil and every oil change after that every 3000 miles or 3 months whatever comes first. Your motor oil is the life of your engine I would not skimp on oil changes.
