On a brand new engine I would do the first oil change at 1000 miles because you could have metal particles in the motor oil and every oil change after that every 3000 miles or 3 months whatever comes first. Your motor oil is the life of your engine I would not skimp on oil changes.

i will get it done soon i think i read in the manual 1500 is proper break in period.... so i'll drive it a bit more and take her in for some love |
