March Factory Order Update

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys,

March is here & my Nismo order will be sent out any day now.

I contacted my sales rep with a few requests (see screenshot attachment)

Can you guys think of anything else I should ask or request of the dealership?

This is my first vehicle order so I want everything to go smoothly.

Along the lines of spring spacers - make sure they flip the storage switch on receipt (located in the interior fuse box)

Make sure they tighten the muffler bearings and top off the blinker fluid.

If you're really anal retentive about detailing the car, have them skip the wash, etc. Hell, have them leave the plastic on. A solid 80% of the swirls on my car were from the dealer "doing me a favor" and washing it for me.

WOW! That is absolutely correct. If the car is ordered, by all means ask them to skip the rubdown after they strip the transport stuff. The people that most dealerships have doing their pre-delivery "detailing" are not professional retailers with any kind of reasonable understanding of how to use a power buffer without leaving severe swirls and burn marks.

If you were a 17 year old blonde [girl], a lot more people would be in this thread trying to help you out.

I always tell them DONT wash it or peel the plastic stuff off. Do the safety inspection and do NOT test drive it.

When I get there I take the plastic off and they let me wash or spray off myself and I tape the front with painters tape and take to get clear film put on :)

I'm more particular than anyone I know...

Also check the PSI in tires before you leave. My 13' Nismo had 55 or so PSI. My 17' Nismo had 36 or so... and check for yourself if the spacers were removed in the front springs.

I have the dealer do all you requested as well on top of my extra stuff

No problem!! I've seen brand new cars paint get destroyed or swirled up from one wash from a dealer... it's usually a 16 year old kid with a brillo pad "washing" it. My dealer loved watching me unwrap the car, then they get the wash bay ready for me I wash her myself with Adams Polishes pro detail items, dry her then tape up the front for clear film.

I'm from Maine originally, if you need a good clear film installer the best is in your area!! Dave Renfrew at Protection Plus in Shrewsbury MA!!! He trains people to do the film and is a perfectionist. One of the few people that exceeded my expectations! Had my 350z done by him!!

I am planning to get a new Nismo soon, following to learn.

Mine is for sale. 2017 with 2800 miles.
You won't find one that's as cared for. Mines in better condition than ones on the lot ;)
