why is the 2010 nismo rated higher than the successors?
Greetings
I'm trying to find the difference between the years of the 370z nismo from 2010 through 2016 I found that the ratings for 2010 are better than the ones that follow. I wonder if there's difference in the chassis itself. Ratings are subjective and and skewed/relative to cars the reviewer tested. Also changes as the car ages. Chassis and engine that scored great 6 yrs ago are now obsolete

Steering lock was removed mid 2011. This alone should be enough reason to pass on anything earlier.

No major changes to the Z at all yet the competition has upped their game along with consumer advocate expectations. Many put a lot of weight/emphasis on driver comfort (NVH, blind spot), amenities (better tech package, telescoping steering, proximity sensors, etc) and boot space. All three things where the Z takes a hit on and I've never concerned myself about. No one reviews strictly on performance, design, and minimalist interior comfort where the strength of the Z lies. I don't give a rats a55 about what reviewers say.

Reviews are just that somebody else's opinion. The Jeep Wrangler is always in the worst 10 vehicles you can buy and is still the number one selling vehicle in its class.

Or why a POS Land Rover Defender is still worth 6 figures without anything going for it.

It's all about perception...if enough people THINK that the Land Rover is that good, then it must be

Declining reviews are mostly due to the fact that in 2009 when it came out it blew the competition away. Since then Ford, just to name one example, has released 2 generations of 420+hp Mustang... It's nothing to do with the Z itself and everything to do with the competition.

Oh, and Nissan really needs to get with the program or continue to get left behind.
