First parking lot dent/scrape on the new NISMO.

My 2016 NISMO is only 6 months old and I found this dent/scrape on my rear bumper (on my birthday). Must have been some azzwipe in a parking lot. I'll survive, but it really pisses me off.

Of course it has to be on the PEARL red and gray paint. Does anyone know the paint codes for either?

the grey is KAE

David, one idea for you depending on what you are wanting to do with the car is having the gray part wrapped in 3d-4d carbon fiber. Some have had this done on the 09-14 Nismo's and it looks good IMO. I was looking to have this done on my 11 Nismo before I sold it. It may even be cheaper price wise to have this done. Either way hope you get it fixed soon and sorry to hear about it. :twocents:

Thanks guys. I'll get the touch-up code you've given.

As for CF, I think I'll stick with stock for now.

I have some experience sanding & painting bumpers. Here are some pics of my G35. I did this with rattle-cans (3-layers; red, pearl, clear coat). Waaay too much work!

Looks like a good candidate for dr. Color chip, it's simple / easy & I've experienced very good / excellent results !
Good luck!

Thanks God-Speed. This was how I spent my week-long Xmas vacation last year, thanks to YouTube help. I've never done this before (and won't again). It was really a lot of work, especially dry/wet sanding! I now know why they charge what they do at paint shops. Detailed prep work really is the key for auto painting. I was impressed by how well the paint was a match, considering my car was almost 8 years old.

I'm at 3 months and need a new front bumper. Something hit me on the highway.

That sucks. Have you gotten any estimates? Do you just need paint or full replacement? I'm curious what the NISMO bumper+paint+install costs.

Haven't looked into it. It is my daily and I drive a lot. Over 12k already.

Ouch. It looks like some sanding, primer, and paint. Let me know what they end up charging you. Good luck.
