Do the 2016 non-Tech Nismos have the Bose?
 

The Nissan website indicates that they do, but when I look at photos online, the head unit in the non-Tech Nismo looks the same as the head unit in the base model.

Does that make it a pain to upgrade the head unit?

Yes it's base looking radio unit but with Bose speakers amp and sub.

is that only for the 2016? i have a 2015 nismo base and there is no subwoofer.

Nismo Base has regular stereo. (I have the base). There's no sub in the back. The Tech comes with the Bose audio with the sub in the back. I'm not particularly sure if it has a different unit.

Thought Nismo, tech and non tech, comes with bose. I have the tech one. and it does have the sub on the back

My 2016 Nismo is not a tech but it has Bose speakers and sub and also the reverse camera in the mirror. It has every option except navigation which is what I wanted so I can put an aftermarket head unit in.

So after reading these comments it looks like there is a difference between the 2015 and 2016 base nismos. 2015 no bose but the 2016s it looks like they have the bose. looking at the website it does say the 2016 nismo base has Bose® audio system standard.
