The nismo exhaust is a free flow exhaust.
How much HP will a 2016 Nismo will gain with a CB FI.

on a regular Z FI says 20HP, 11 ft pounds torque, not sure on nismos, should be close i would think

Well the nismo is 18hp more do to the exhaust and tune,so that will be 2 more hp.

No, the nismo is 18 more at the crank, some of which is from the different tune. The FI catback is 20 at the wheels.

I did not remember see one for the nismo.

Honestly, very little. Maybe 2-3 hp. Both are 60mm tubing.

Well, moving from the Nismo exhaust to the AAM 2.5" midpipes and short tails, I didn't gain anything. At most on a good day, maybe 5whp. The intakes are a bigger restriction on Nismos.

That is what i was thinking.

In conversations with a guy who knows mucho more than I do about Zs (he owns, wrenches, races and tunes them), he said the biggest bottleneck with a nismo exhaust is the OEM catalytic convertors.

Good to go with some aftermarket high flow cats such as Berk or other to open things up.

Needless to say (?) replacing the OEM intake with something more free flowing such as a Stillen Gen3 would be a good compliment to this mod.

I also heard that to, but i was not sure about it.

A shop down here just picked up 19 whp on their nismo with fast intentions resonators test pipes and cat back. Can't remember the tq but it was also impressive

That brings just as many questions as answers. Since they put on test pipes"reading converters are the biggest restrictions" did the gains come from test pipes or actual exhaust?

Considering they were both installed at the same time there is no way of knowing for sure. But it's not going to be one or the other. The cats can't be that restrictive to where it's the only choke point of the entire exhaust system. With that being said I'm sure the cat back picked up some power as well. If you're going to drop the loot on a cat back. Another 500 for test pipes is well worth it. The exhaust did not have resonators but the test pipes did and the car still wasn't loud. Perfect in my opinion. So if you were looking for power upgrades. I would top off the cat back with test pipes.

is picking up the stillen g3 still worth it for 2015-2016 nismo models?

Would love to know the answer to this also.

I bought my FI CBE exhaust due to the glorious sound improvement. Stock suxs.

Depends on what your expectations are. Unless I am mistaken, the current nismo body style is basically the same car mechanically as it was when introduced in 2009.

With that in mind, if it was a good thing before, it should be a good thing now. I have this CAI on mine and would do it again.
