2014 Nismo
882 miles for 32,500. Good deal?
|
Yes.
|
Yes!
|
Clean carfax is clean but that doesnt mean a whole lot. Does it not make you yoh..think something is wrong with such low miles on a 2014?
|
The price is great. Many nismos sat on the dealer lot unsold. Owner could have had multiple vehicles. Check the "in service" date if possible. You can get a paint tester to make sure its all the same paint. If the car has not been wrecked, grab it...last year of the real nismo.
|
It was traded into a Honda dealership. Having the VIN checked by Nissan in the morning. Will run it by a body's hop before sealing the deal. Thanks

Sounds like good deal if nothing is wrong. Open up all the doors, hood, and hatch. Look for color mismatch in those areas. Look for paint over spray. Rub your hand over parts. If it doesn't feel smooth. It might be over spray. Look under the car. The Nismo has part number stickers all over it. If the stickers are not there. The part has been replaced.

Make sure it's not one that has been in a flood event...

I think something like that would have to be reported on the car fax, but we all know car fax isn't always full proof.

Sounds fishy

The OP should inspect it for sand and debris in hard to clean places in the trunk, engine bay any other places that are not to get to.

I went through a similar situation looking at a very low milage 2014 Nismo being sold up in Maine for about $32,000 in July of 2015. I was all set to jump on it and then after checking the car fax I saw it had been brought in for some electrical work.
It spooked me and I figured with all these 2014 Nismos sitting and having 2016's coming out soon, someone would be willing to take a hit just to get a 2014 Nismo off their lot. I used the nissan inventory search on nissan's website and just started mass emailing every dealer on the east coast to see what they would be willing to move a 2014 for. I found there were a TON of 2014's still new and unsold. I requested a price of $35,000 and got a bunch of calls back over the next 2 days and the lowest I got was $37,000 from a dealer in Michigan (Muskegon Nissan, whom were excellent). I flew out there and bought it. My total costs after flight, tax, title, and registration were about $40,000 all in, but I used it as a vacation to see Niagara Falls, Saratoga Springs, and a few other places as well. The day I flew out to pick up the car I got a call from a dealer in Chicago offering me $35,000, but at that point the deal was already done. This was back in August of 2015, so my point is... I think if you can find a new one for around $35,000 it may be worth the peace of mind (not to mention - only one owner on resale), instead of taking a risk over $2,500 bucks. Keep us posted on how you make out and good luck! |

I got mine new June of last year for 35K out the door trading in a 2008 Xterra with 185K miles. Due to things out of my control its pretty much sat for the last 6 months and only has 1300 miles on it. Wouldn't sell it, but there are reasons that cars don't get a lot of miles racked up. Mine did sit on the lot for a year that I was able to watch it and they where willing to deal because they had just got the '15 nismo. Got to take it for a drive and compare the 2. I had already decided I liked the appearance of the '14 better, but I personally liked the stiffer suspension as well.
|
14 is the best Nismo version for me. If I could find a good deal locally I would trade up!
|
I bought a '14 in July of that year.. Currently have around 1K miles. I have a Honda Fit as a daily and only drives my Nismo once or twice a week around town locally but never long distance. Point is, it's possible that what you found is legit. Great deal.. obviously do your research as these members mentioned

Did you buy it or not?

Thanks for all the input everyone. I passed on the 882 Nismo because I wasn't completely feeling the red. 2 new 14s left in US according to Nissan inventory. One in Tennessee Grey and one in Tampa Black (my preference). But neither are budging off the 36,999 price. Geez a bit high considering current value. Still sleeping on it...I told the Tampa dealer I would be there Tuesday if I bite. Tampa has had it on their lot for 600 days...I tried to use that as a negotiating factor but they said they are to in the red to lower the price.

Good luck on your search. |
Buy mine $32000 so cal
Black 2014 z nismo with 1,450 miles Nothing to hide here, I have a daily driver company truck and I have 3 kids so obviously I don't get much alone time by myself or with the wife. I also have an M3 so I don't drive the Z at all. Let me know I won't waste your time if you are a serious buyer Thank you |

I like driving but not that much and not alone! Hey since I'm losing navigation and that wonderful hard drive what do you Nismo drivers use for playing music from your phone??? Stereo is a bit dated.
|
I love cross country driving, I got to find some time to go see my brother Clifford!!!

For Pandora - I connected a Bluetooth receiver/transmitter in the cig lighter that is inside the arm rest then ran a wire under the console to reach the 3.5mm jack on my radio. Think I got it at Best Buy for 10 bucks. To hold my phone I use "ProClip". Everyone has their preference but I like where it positions my phone. Let me know if you need pics. |

It's a well known enclosed carrier shipper, people on 6speedonline (higher end cars there) use this carrier a lot. It will be more expensive than other random ones. I was going to ship a car with them myself but changed my mind on the vehicle. Good luck! |

If you have the time, I'd recommend flying out and driving it if you have never done it. I've made that drive several times and it is amazing way to see the country. It seems daunting but once you get out there on the highway you won't regret it.
|
^^ I second this.
I drove my G37 from Chicago to Arizona and it was truly incredible. To this day I have yet to see as many breath taking sights as I did in the mountains. It was definitely a long drive but it was totally worth it. Not too sure I would do it again but never the less I don't regret it. |
