New Nismo wheel weights

Has anyone weighed the new nismo wheels to see how they compare to the Older wheels? thanks

dmatt 09-17-2015 12:18 PM

Yes most interested in the weights too.

GOBLUE 09-21-2015 11:12 AM

I'm also interested and have searched and searched. I can't find it anywhere. Any 2015 NISMO owner's willing to weigh their wheel/tires? We can work backwards from total weights. According to tire rack, the front tires are 29 lbs., rears are 32 lbs.

Well guys i hate to be a disappointment but ran a little short on time today and ended up changing the bulbs with the wheels on. Didn't get a chance to weigh them. Ill keep it in mind though and might get around to it one of these days

Anybody willing to weigh these wheels?

RN SHARK 12-03-2015 08:41 AM

Wonder why this is taking so long. I swap out my sport and old style Nismo wheels all the time. Isn't there anyone with a new Nismo, a floor jack, and a scale??

The 2015/2016 Nismo wheels weigh
Front- 21
Rear- 23

A rough estimate, with tires they are 50 and 54.

They are light, I swapped them for advan rsII and maybe dropped a pound a corner. You will be spending $$$ to find ligther

Don't forget spacers adds to the weights if looking for a flush fitment ;)

True :shakes head:

That is crazy light for an OE wheel.

Thanks for the info, that is crazy light! Did you weight your own? Is the 50/54 lbs. with the OEM tires? If so, thanks for doing that! :tiphat:

I think I'm settled on buying these wheels. They look great, fit great, are very light, and priced reasonable. You planning to sell yours???

BOLIO 671 12-04-2015 07:40 AM

Well I have some good news to share! I just got my 2015 Nismo wheels! I have to wait until spring to install them, but for now I decided to weigh them. Mine weighed less than eZdZ for some reason. They have the OEM Bridgestones on them, so not sure about the difference. Perhaps just the different scales. I know mine is quite accurate, I've compared it to a calibrated scale at the gym and know it's right on.

Anyhow... mine weighed 48.6 lbs. Front and 53.0 lbs. Rear! :happydance:

And if the tirerack.com weights for the Bridgestones is correct, that means the front wheels are 19.6 lbs. and rear 21.0 lbs.

Compared to my stock 18" with OEM Bridgstones, these Nismo 19" are only 0.5 lbs heavier front and rear.

GOBLUE: Thanks for taking the time to do this.
