2009 NISMO Registry

We need to have some kind of registry running at ZCon and Z Nationals this year to document new NISMO 370Z's. I am sure some owners will bring out their cars which are probably not here on the forums. It would be nice to see what additional cars could be added.

I will start posting up ID#'s of the NISMO's that come thru the shop. A few weeks we nearly had all the bays filled with NISMO 370Z's and I did not event think about checking out the #'s.

Woah, I just bought #349 in MB from a dealer in Alabama...the carfax shows it being in Alabama for the life of the car too...did you actually see this #349?

If anything, I'm not sure we should put their real names up here if they aren't a part of the forums. Better yet, leave a little print out on their dash to encourage them to come register their nismo on the370z.com forum.

I think you raise a valid point since thats kind of an invasion of privacy if they are not interested in participating. BUT if we DO decide to use thier names anyway, lets not half-*** it. i think it would be useful to also post thier credit card numbers as well as any bank info with matching ATM pins. The additional info may come in handy. The word "supercharger" comes to mind.

Definitely done by the dealer. The Nismo is a TRACK built car. In my experience, with a track car, you either want cloth or alcantara ($$$) seats in order to maximize the holding power of the seat to your butt in turns. Traditional leather is somewhat slippery and not a good option.

I agree with what both of you (Equinox and Aurora)...I need to get with AK about getting some kind of flier or handout to give the new 370Z owners I meet (almost daily in and out of the shop). That way they will have some kind of info to work from.

In other news......

Had a conversation with the guys from Nissan Motorsports regarding the Brass Monkey 370Z NISMO being campaigned in World Challenge.

That NISMO bears the number #09 00000. I was initially confused by this, since I saw a North American Spec '09 NISMO at Autech in Japan when I was visiting last November.

I found out that ALL Nissan owned NISMO 370Z's (that will never be intended for resale, registration or tagging will bear the 00000 number plate. In reality, there could be a few dozen NISMO 370Z's running around via NISSAN wearing an un-numbered plate. Thought I would share this so Equinox could correct my addition earlier in the thread.
