He does make a point about the engine. Old and time for a new one..

There is nothing wrong with the engine, some are making over 600whp on the stock engine and internals. The issue is we all want more power, but I'm not quite sure how many potential buyers or folks that currently own a Z would be able or willing to pay for it!!! It really is a niche sports car and there is nothing else out there that is truly in its class.

He calls the car brilliant 10x (he's kinda slow and has a limited vocabulary), but dude aays nothing new, that we havent heard before knocking the Z regarding price relative to 'peers', and the outdated motor.
These autobloggers are used to driving high end, luxurt sports cars that cost twice as much w/400-500+ hp so of course a 40k Z aint gonna stack up... (shakes head).... |

A Nismo costs 40% more than a base 370Z but only has 5% more horsepower. |

he has some valid points...but is there a better rwd front engine jdm sports car in this price range? (and if there is let me know) Ive read/watched a ton of reviews on the 370z nismo and people should learn to enjoy it for what it is, and not compare it to cars that are not in its category

The cost of the Nismo is fair enough and this has been debated to death. I challenge you to name a two seater sports car with a body kit, suspension and horsepower at the same price point! There are none and if you want more power for the same price then you can buy a Mustang like a whole lot of other people. I'm knocking the Mustang, it's just not a Nismo!!!!

The issue for me, I think, is that the base 370Z represents absolutely awesome value for the money. The Nismo just doesn't. Does that make the Nismo a bad car? Not at all. But I can definitely see why many people consider it too expensive for what it is, especially when there are some other very impressive performance cars in the same price range. |

The Nismo is very simple. If you like it, you'll buy it, and if you don't like it, you'll find a reason not to buy it. Its a very niche car. The fact of the matter is not many people will cross shop a m235 and a nismo, or a GT stang and a Nismo, Sti, EVO and so on. They are all niche cars and you pretty much know you want it before you set foot in a dealer. The new Z is a beauty, and it doesn't need much else from the factory. Maybe less weight. People hate on the Z in general because it's a car that does nothing great, but everything good.
