Default Red, "NISMO" calipers and 15mm spacers - Pics

Painting the calipers red had always been one of the first things I wanted to do to my car, and I finally got it done the other weekend. I had a set of NISMO vinyl decals made that turned out better than expected. I decided to install a set of Z1 huncentric 15mm spacers as well, and doing so required removal of all 4 calipers.

One note about the spacers: I read on the forum somewhere that some of the NISMOs were having issues running spacers on the front wheels. Apparently on some of our cars, the taper on the front hubs is different from the rear, thus requiring the use of a lugcentric spacer on the front vs hubcentric all around. In anticipation of this issue, I had ordered a set of lugcentric ones for the front, and I would later discover that it would be impossible for my shop to center the wheel onto the hub during high speed balancing. I then ordered a set of hubcentric spacers for the front, had them installed, and experienced zero issues.

Here are some quick pics I got with my iPhone. I still think the front needs to come down, but I already scrape pulling into my parking garage, and the roads in downtown Atlanta can get pretty scary in general

Here's a couple. I can't figure out how to upload multiple pics at a time from my phone right now, so I'll post more later

Well done, looks great!

Please post a couple more pics showing how the tires flush to the wheel wells. I am considering 15mm all around also. Like you, I would like to lower too but it's not going to happen since this is a DD on shite roads.

Very nice! So just a set of 15mm hubcentric spacers and it looks like that? I may be ordering spacers soon haha. About how much $ does a set of 4 15mm cost anyway?

You will need DRS spacers for the front Nismo wheels. I'm selling a pair right now. The rear will be fine with a hubcentric pair.

Actually, that's for the 09-14 Nismo wheels. I don't know anything about the 15 wheels.

Yes - I'm on stock NISMO suspension with spacers only.

I bought a set of 4, 15mm hubcentric spacers and extended studs from Z1 for $144 before tax and shipping.

Nice! That's not too bad. If there's no issues with rubbing then I'll definitely be doing this in the near future. I don't really wanna go lower either since I daily my Nismo as well

Hey GO Z RA,

Thanks for the extra pics. Very nice. VERY NICE!

One question: how is the handling? Specifically I am wondering if things are rock solid or off a bit resulting in some shimmying at speed (60-80mph).

I know quality hub-centric spacers should not throw off the balance but need to know your experience.

Not the OP, but I am running the same 15mm spacers all around and have no issues at all. Z1 has a great product at a great price.

Looks great!! Want to paint my calipers as well but don't know where to start since there is much info on it. Wheels spacers look really good as well, are you running stock Nismo tire set up?
